She also enjoys mild singing in the form of humming, while her singing voice is soothing and alluring, she has never worked very hard to hone it into anything more than a simple pleasure she keeps for herself. She enjoys toying with males who she deems worthy of her advances, though never allows anyone closer than the outer shell of her personality that she's created.

Background:
Jhalass hails from the great Drow state Menzoberranzan, Born into a common drow house, she was never really introduced to the more brutal side of drow politics, but was brought up indoctrinated into the Lloth faith as so many others of her kind were. Recognized that she had above average beauty than most of the drow children, she was trained in the seductive arts of drow allure, as well as honing her voice to become one of her many tools of deception and seduction.
As she grew and reached what could be considered Drow puberty, she took an interest in literature and often sought out books that were not of typical drow subjects. She took a particular interest in Oceans, their words described in great detail let her vivid imagination wander, as she pictured the vast seas on the open sky's horizon. She kept many of these books hidden away from her house as to not be caught reading or showing an interest in anything other than advancing her position in the minor drow politics they were involved in which lays into her interest in the goddess Shar.
In her early 20's in drow years, she was taken to serve at Elstearn's Escorts within her home of the Western Wall where she put her now striking beauty to use and soft spoken word to good use. Serving as a guide to very important visitors that the upper echelon of the Lloth favored houses would demand, which often would end in her whoring herself out to males who were easily infatuated by her beauty, the act of such sullen and slobish males touching her fine physique sickened her to the point where she absolutely began to loath the act of mating. This disgust for her current position in life would eventually lead to her forced exile.
She was assigned to be a guide for yet another important figure whom was rumored to be quite important and had a magical artifact of great value to the Drow Priestesses, A fat slob of a merchant from the surface, It was extremely rare that a human who was not a slave would be welcome in the citadel to to barter with the drow priestess. The man carried with him an escort of several armed guards who trailed the streets with him and Jhalass everywhere they went. It didn't take long for the merchants mind to wander into lust and upon spending an evening alone with her. Knowing what lays in store for her, and the stench of the merchant's uncared for body odor was too much for her to bare.
While the guards kept watch over his suite inside the Escort inn, the disgusted Jhalass more on instinct rather than accual planning unsheathed a small dagger she kept hidden on her thigh, and pierced the lewd merchants heart. As he slumped to the floor in deafening silence the fear of what she had done began to hit her. she collected herself, found a change of cloths in a nearby closet and exited the room, departing the city at once, fearing for her safety. Before the city was wise to her she was already gone, and could never return. Out in the untamed wilderness of the underdark she was at a sore disadvantage, Wandering around the Dark Dominion for what seemed to be days before finding by luck the Dead Dragon Gorge.
This is a place where many would teleport into the city though magical means, Using the fresh water to clean herself up after such a hellish journey, with the small amount of gold she did have she bought a fresh set of cloths and was able to barter one of the mages down in price to teleport magically to Sshamath. She felt while Lloth's presence was still within the city, she could hide here with relative easy being the city is quite far from her home. Upon arrival she was at a sore disadvantage, her bardish casting ability were cause for her to be looked down upon as a second class citizen. Though running low on gold and food she was forced to find work as a mercenary, deciding that she would earn her way though the sword than share her perceived perfection with anyone she deemed unworthy again. Taking up the mantle of Shar, she keeps her secrets and true feelings close to her, and spreads lies and misdirection to prevent anyone finding out her faith or true feelings, especially Lloth worshipers.
Goals:
Jhalass seeks independence, while she's not above asking for help if she thinks the said individual can help her, she will not hesitate to put her looks and charm to use. Ultimately she seeks to venture and see things and places never seen by those of her kind such as the great seas. Which may or may not end up in her traveling to the surface, despite the danger it would pose. Jhalass also has taken a fancy to sword play, which she practices in her own way while doing mercenary work for her pay.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
Jhalass would jump at the chance for someone to take her up to the surface and onto the seas she's read about for so long. She's highly manipulative and comes across as haughty, making small little snide comments while displaying her confident smile. She's still not used to males having authority in Sshamath and she will often talk down to them simply out of habit, not realizing she's doing so. She also has a very nasty temper when she doesn't get her way, though she does much to keep it in check, often catching herself mid speech and using her charm to cover up her slips. If any dread pirate would tell her tails of the high sea she would be quite interested and perhaps even look up to an individual who's seen the ocean and can tell her things about it that she's not read in books already.
