Silias's Letters

Unread post by CorruptedDisciple »

"Dear Mother,

I am extremely sorry that I am not able to send you this month's money. I know you may feel disappointed. Past events have recently kept me very busy, and I'm unable to make my way back to Evermeet. I hope you aren't angry at me, I truly do not wish to disappoint you on this, but it is something currently out of my hands. I would find myself a courier; a mule to deliver it, of sorts, but it seems those who I've spoken to cannot make the trip to Evermeet."

I shall await your reply,

May Corellon bless you, Mother,

A reply to my fair daughter, Silias.

Helllo,

"I trust you have been well? It has been an age since I've seen you. It feels like one, at least. I wish to iterate the fact that we do not require the funds, my daughter. I told you this before you left, but you insist on being stubborn. Let us forget this subject (for at least a month, if you can), and discuss other things.

I hope the region you abandoned have travelled to is to your liking. Where are you staying? It worries me that I do not know if my own daughter is safely resting when she requires it. Reply to me with an update, please! Or reverie will come slowly to me, as it has since you've left.

Your loving mother,

Arialla Ry'ena."

The letter is signed off with two arrows interlinking.

"To my Mother,

"I am sorry my reply has been delayed, I have been fairly busy throughout the last tenday. I am doing fine, Mother. My duties here have been fairly tiring, however. Still, I remain dedicated to my cause. Regarding the money, I am truly sorry. I will not press upon it anymore (but I shall still send you a fair amount of money when I am able to).

I am currently residing in the homeland of the elves: Doron Amar. I have been invited into it as a citizen by the elves. Truly? It is magnificent. If you wish to know the names of the elves, they're: Aearion, Bre'teas and Cela. They've each signed for me. If you don't know, to attain citizenship in Doron Amar, you require three registered citizens to give you their seal on such a paper. This paper was, of course, handed to me by Aearion. Cela decided to show me his trust by marking it with his blood, truly amazing, right? The bond of kin is fascinating.

You have raised me to take care of myself. As such, I am abiding by the laws you have taught me when growing up. Do not worry. I will always return to visit you. I'm planning on it soon, but the exact date is truly left to fate.

I write this in hope that this has eased your reverie,

Corellon watch and guide your path. May the Coronal grant you everlasting happiness,"

A finely sealed letter is handed to Silias whilst she lingers around the Friendly Arm Inn campfire. Its scent is that of the roses in Corellon's Grove, in the northern part of Evermeet. She begins to examine it slowly, fearing the worst. Her mother would never seal it so elegantly...

"To My Loving Daughter,

My hand simply shakes as I begin to write this. It's difficult... so difficult. Perhaps Corellon has not favoured us this day? I know, if you were here, you'd be telling me not to think so. But it's hard to remain positive. I care not to linger on words.

[There is a long gap between both parts of the writing.]

We traveled to Corellon's Grove yesterday. Perhaps this is why your mother hasn't replied to you? In all honesty, I wish this was such. She is beyond my powers. Your mother is... ill. Ill beyond my powers, Silias. I have asked those at the Grove to tend to her, but it was to no avail. As I write this, she is growing even more ill. I cannot think of what to do. I have asked of priests from various regions; I have found none.

This was not sent to shock you; simply to inform you..."

[A small drop of water, probably a tear, is left after this. The letter was obviously written messily and hastily, as if he were talking to himself.]
