After walking around seeing the devastion, Laisren walks up to "the Wizard" and hands him 5 bags of gold.

Vanira writes a note that she will donate 50,000 to the cause to start with the intention of giving more if needed.

The halfling Kestrel Thunderfoot strides around the burnt buildings speaking with the remaining halflings and checking on their welfare. He offers the mayor of the Gullykin twenty thousand gold for the rebuilding.

Vanira is often seen visiting Gullykin when she escapes her duties in Doron Amar. Her arms are never empty when she comes to visit... always bringing food along an other needed supplies. She's also come to the aid of a few citizens in helping to ... (yes the sick dm found it amusing I'm sure making Vanira deal with cats) find small kittens and reunites them with the owners.

To the man that shouts and flees she shakes her head and shouts after him, "There will be plenty more that come to their aid then here. We are helping our allies, be gone and bother someone else."

Delphinn Veil meets with the merchants of Gullykin. He has a large grin as he shakes their hands.

"Excellent. It's my hope that this will aid your village and bring greater attention to your plight."

Gullykin's rebuilding efforts are slow -- but steady.

There were relatively few halfling casualties during the Battle of Gullykin (considering the amount of bombardment the village suffered), in part thanks to the evacuation efforts of the Gullykin militia and the elves of Doron Amar.

Most of the would-be halfling refugees have refused shelter at Doron Amar and elsewhere, and instead have returned to their village to begin rebuilding their homes. They show their race's most admirable qualities in their determination to start anew.

Some extremely ambitious hin are even talking about a "newer, bigger, better Gullykin." The outside donations are encouraging to everyone who once called the village home.

[ OOC note: Donations will not be tabulated towards Gullykin's reconstruction effort unless a DM collects the GP in-game. Please contact a DM about this if you are intent on donating to Gullykin's cause. Remind them to report the GP collected to the DM forums, so that we can keep an accurate account of donations. Note that 1 GP is effectively 1 copper piece in terms of D&D economy for those of us calculating the reconstruction costs. ]

Word is sent to the various merchants and other notable citizens of Gullykin that a human named Tildon has been named the Nashkel Trade Emporium's liason to the town to aid reconstruction. The letter adds that the Emporium's proprietor, Delphinn Veil, still considers the reconstruction and well-being of the town a top priority.

Riappi checks her bags, but finds but a mere 300 gold.. certainly not enough for to make a difference, but she notes down that she has bazillion ointments made out of kobold droppings which cure quite a few common cold, even make wounds heal faster. She asks the elven conjurer if she can donate them, saying that it would be great shame for her to not to be able to donate to the main project since she had been working on fixing the lives of her kin since the war.

Tildon returns from Waterdeep and barely lets his boots set upon Baldur's Gate's docks when he begins arranging provisions for a short trip. Early the next morning he and a small party bearing provisions leave the city walls behind them and after a few days ride, arrive at Gullykin.

Clad in a cloak built more for comfort than appearance, Tildon nears the walls of Gullykin with his valet, Corbin. Dismounting his steed and leaving their small party within sight of the gates, Tildon takes a slow walk down the gentle slope to the south, still draped in mid morning shadows. Shoots of green grass have sprouted and dot the hillside, but serve only to accentuate the scarred land. Dozens of barren patches of earth are clustered on the hillside, reminders of the mighty spells of fire, acid and worse unleashed by both sides in the war. Tildon walks further down the slope, past furrows and smaller craters that marked a line of traps set by Gullykin's defenders and stops near the base of the butte near the bottom. From there he looks around, his pensive and contemplative demeanor at odds with his gregarious public persona. Minutes pass without movement or sound, an equally rare occurrence, before Tildon walks back up the slope. His steps are measured, strong and swift. By the time he has reached the top of the slope his bearing once more displays its characteristic optimism and his eyes readily hint at a smile. Turning to Corbin, he grins as he shields the morning light with the brow of his feathered hat.

"Step lively my friend, we have much to do."

Stepping past the open break in the Village's low walls with a polite greeting to the stalwarts posted there, Tildon suppresses a slight grimace as the warbling of Gamfinkle the Mediocre assaults his ears. Taking the route nearest the temple and Wizard's tower, Tildon soon spots Gandolar Luckyfoot.

"Well again", Tildon offers as he approaches the town's mayor, who is already at work with several others clearing yet another severely damaged home so that it can be rebuilt. Setting aside his cloak, Tildon quietly joins the effort, his strength and height speeding the work along so that by the time they break for lunch, the group is moderately ahead of schedule.

Taking lunch on the grass near the wizards tower, Tildon sits near Gandolar. "As you may have heard, I've been appointed Liaison to Gullykin for NTE. What you may not know, however, is that this is something that I requested." Tildon pauses for a moment, recalling the days he spent encamped outside the walls, and the battles he fought alongside Gullykin's residents and defenders for the second time that day. "I regret we were unable to protect the village, and if you'll let me help, I would see it restored." Offering more detailed information, Tildon explains, "I can offer the very best prices on materials to be sure, and if you haven't already considered it, perhaps some engineers or craftsmen who could offer advise or assistance on improving defenses without compromising the serenity of the town." With a loud, mock conspiratorial whisper he adds, "and perhaps even some of my own coin should Alvanhendar be so inspired to direct repair the winery with haste."
