"Cedric was born and raised in Luskan, the famous city of cutt-throaths, pirates and Arcane Broherhood. Who his mother or father was he never knew. After being born Cedric was quickly dumped to one of the few local orphanage. After some tough early years in this place he was taken in by a local cleric of Waukeen. Cedric was always with the cleric when he was out bargaining with the local merchants, or doing some other service and quickly adept some of this skills. He started using this skill, whether it was selling some sweets to the other boys on the streets or slipping a poisoned dagger to some mans pocket for coin.
This lasted for some years, until one normal day at the age of 16 he got into an argument with one of his costumers. Things got heated up to the point where a fight satrted with the two. Cedric had never hit anyone, there was never really need for it. After some struggle and shouting, without a second thought, he grabbed a metal bar laying near him and threw a huge blow towards the mans head. Man fell to the ground unconscious and badly wounded, but still Cedric kept beating with the bar rage on his eyes. After some time he stopped, looking what he had done, but he did not regret... He enjoyed it it. The adrenalin, thrill, excitement of Battle it was like a drug Cedric had just got adicted to. That was the point when he heard the call of Tempus. He quickly renew his faith and accepted the faith and ways of The Lord of Battle in a local Temple.
It did not take long when he just left the old cleric without goodbyes and was heading to the closest smith to purchase full armor, helmet and biggest weapon he could get, which was a big mace. All his saving went into this gear and was left pennyless. He then got recruited to a local merchant vessel as a guard where he trained and lived with other mercenaries and adepted their way of live. He still used his hagling skills to bargaing better prices for his little contracts of own or for a bottle or keg of mead to the crewmen. This lasted for years and Cedric got better with his weapon and achieved higher position within the vessel, becoming one of the most trusted crewmen.
However, a long lasted contract with the merchant ended when he died suddenly to a very high fewer. Cedric and his band was left unemployed and quickly after that fell apart. Cedric wandered the North with some of the crewmen, but they never returned to Luskan. Even after living most of their lifes there. Not a moment came when they'd want to go back to this rathole. Soon they also decided to go seperate ways all in the opposite directions. Cedric ,after some petty jobs, found himself at the Gates of Baldur's Gate."
