I’ve decided to keep this journal for a lack of anything better to do in my free time. Clinging to the arse end of the wagon is tiresome and I find myself constantly falling off. I hope this journal will provide adequate distraction even if I can hear the good times flow down in barroom as I write this.

The days that I have spent in and around Baldure’s Gate have been interesting to say the least. Profitable too, I might add. I have acquired many magical items that prior to becoming an adventurer I had only read about and my skills with the crossbow are developing way beyond what I thought I was capable of. I have lost count of the amount of lives I’ve taken and have become so accustomed to killing that I feel as though I’m beginning to enjoy it. It thrills me to see my foes react when a bolt finds an eye socket and especially if I was aiming for it.

Vanya is making swift progress, thanks the Elves no doubt. Recently she has displayed new abilities and she rarely refers to her friends as slaves. She will still eat anything but I find that amusing anyway. It’s one of her charms, I suppose.

I have become intrigued by a man named Torek Coldstone, or Lord Coldstone to his friends. I believe he is an evil man, a priest of Umberlee, and I intend to see what little secrets he might divulge to me. I find men of too good a nature to be rather boring and I hope with Coldstone I might find a little excitement and knowledge of his faith worth documenting. Besides, if he is really the Lord he claims himself to be, perhaps he might even bestow some gifts upon me. I must remind myself that I am no stranger to flirting with ugly men for personal gain.

I have decided to give up on Neph, he frustrates me to no end. He is little boy in a man’s body with the temperament of spoiled princess. I have tried to be kind to him, I have even been flirtatious with him out of pity but I should have known that all he really wants is a shoulder to cry on and a pat on the head. I have no intention of adopting a grown man.

I think that will do for now.
