///OOC: This is for any attack members, or our wonderfull DM who wish to post rumors that could have been accounted either for their characters interest. Bear in mind these are rumors, and are often exaggerated.\\\
The gruesome deed would be told of by many, however, A dark man, clad in black robes would be told of by the survivors. His eyes were as black as Shar's divine darkness, and his robes seemed almost incorpreal, twisting and turning with every move he made. His movements were gracefully, and he almost appeared to be a wraith at first, gliding among the attacking forces. He arrived late to the first, and quickly joined forces with the raiders. Dark chains of energy sprouted from his hands and ravaged all, holding no bounds between the land, the peasants, the livestock, and the defenders of the town. Bees, and loctuses would spread with his spells, decimating the plantlife, and stripping the flesh of the valiant (but foolish) guards. From time to time, an insidious laughter could be heard from behind his dark mask, as he spilled river after river of blood, giving the fair townsfolk horrifying, and painful deaths. He dodged arrows and swords with uncanny grace, almost as if he had been expecting where they would strike.
One particular adventurer would hold an account. The dark man came towards her, and lifted her by her neck, demanding to know the location of the children in the village. His black gaze held such fury and evil, that the villager was struck speechless, paralyzed with fear. The dark man then started to choke her, and even the leader of the raid had to hold him back, telling the dark man that is was not part of the job. According to the her account, the dark man was furious, and threw her into a wall dislocating her arm, leaving her for dead. The dark man then stormed off, vanishing from sight as the adventurer crawled away to safety.
However, other rumors maintained that after the battle, the dark man faltered, dropping to his knees, and showing visible signs of horror. Alas, the dark man's accounts are so terrible, how can such a rumor be true? And even if it is true, it matters not. This dark man is another example of why the forces of good should rally: for the defence of life, and freedom.
