Background:

[A Note: Most of this background did happen in an Ingame setting on another server.]
Decades ago, Kiya was trapped in one of many pods of an illithid experimentation chamber for the creation of undead thralls. When an assigned rescue goblin had pried her pod open to released her, he called her Kiya and told her where to flee, yet the name did not register to her as her own. She stumbled through the tunnels disoriented, and she arrived in a place with a diverse collection of underdark beings trading and bartering in a small pit town. They all just lived day by day and survived praying the war against the illithids would pass.
Overwhelmed by memory loss and owning nothing but the clothes on her back, Kiya stumbled from person to person becoming easily molded by lies and mind games cruelly played on her due to her clueless condition. The void in her mind had a severe impact on her emotional stability, and made her highly aggressive but profoundly curious towards all subjects. At fist she found none of her people that could help her, and only heard rumors of a settlement of her kind near by, and she nearly fell to the clutches of drow through their manipulation while in her most vulnerable state. But by a grace of a miracle, the feared and respected leader of the Shadow Quartz tribe found her and stood his ground to warn the antics of the drow away by his stance and glare. And once taken under wing by her own it was not long before her primal instincts lead her to follow Dakarnok, and she took pleasure in the hunt as well as being a productive merchant along side another member.
The feel of the forge heat often felt like a memory on the verge of exposure, a pleasantness that caused her to pick a hammer and a tool that started her hobby as a blacksmith. Eventually, she practiced though orders of what people needed until she mastered it's form in both function and creativity, and molded the metal to the wearer's personality with immense pride. Every weapon and armor piece she forged she felt it would become one less Illithid in the land as the blade gutted them through, they cost her all her knowledge of who she was, and she wanted them all dead.
The prolong exposure of the life style in the pit with the realization that all within were in equal danger of becoming another snack to the Flayers, with the only thing keeping them at bay was a machine, developed unusual alliances of desperation between the races. Even deep seeded enemies became thinly tolerated allies to eradicate the threat at hand. But, for a few years Kiya had left Pit town to explore other regions and study weaponry.
Upon her return, the Shadow Quarts tribe's numbers were thinned and in a state of chaos, and so with the former all-watcher's permission Kiya Ashclaw took the reigns of leadership and became the representative of her people within Pit town during Governor Damian's rule in hopes to fix the tribe's reputation. Upon meeting Damian she noted the Hunter's guild had the same views as herself as to where the focus of any fights should be, and so she fought viciously along side them in the fray against the Illithid threat in raids.
Yet, not long after meetings discussing plans of action on the matter of how to attack the Illithid, chaos brewed within Udos Droxen that she felt threatened all their survival; a threat of a civil war amongst the houses. This infuriated Kiya to where she began to drink rather uncouthly, leaving few moments of the day where she was truly sober, and so a passing wizard from Menzoberranzan caught her at the wrong moment of time.
He called her a slave to her face and consistently emphasized it when desiring to know about the Matron ruler of Udos, yet with her already on the brink with few ever blatantly calling her such, it was the final button that pushed the deep honest opinion to rise in a growl of the situation. The drow Jhul'vus was stunned disgusted at the display of insubordination, and the fuming words sapped and reeked like rot to him, and quickly forced his hand to discipline in the most malignant manner her could onto a leader of “Rothes”. He had paralyzed her and raised a sacrificial dagger from it's sheath, killing any other kobold that came to close to them, but he allowed her words to continue to fuel his rage. Yet, one thing she mistakenly stated made him grin with an idea worse then death when she ranted out: “... You all be Drow, Drow! And you can nots even get along with each other long enoughs to finish this Crap? Hells, Kiya tolerated a gnome long enough to, a Gnome!...” she spat out towards him.
Since she invoked the wrath of a drow rightfully, none but her own kind tried to save her from the fate he was about to bestow on the intoxicated vermin. He briskly and precisely drew the circle for the incantation and carved the curse runes along her forehead and arms. Unwittingly Kiya had enraged a grandmaster transmutationist, something she would have noted by his grandiose clothing had she not drank so much. Once the elaborate circle was completed, the drow gleefully focused to painfully turn the kobold into it's most hated enemy and sealed the appearance.
Kin that witnessed the transformation after the transgression were killed on sight, leaving her in a state without witnesses and any attempt to convince her people of who she was would fell on deaf enraged ears. For all they would see is a Svirfneblin with the All-watcher's belongings.
For days, the gnome sat and drank within the range of the machine's mood numbing effect, which barely restrained the feeling of broiling rage, meticulously pinpointed hatred, and self disgust which began her glutton manners of feasting. For, even her attempts to smith a glorious sword were futile from the sheer discomfort of the high temperature that seemed to mock her and lash her away from it like her own kind, and had the machine not been present to keep her woes tame, there could have been a slaughter far worse then the busted edge she left upon the stone forge for hurling it's tools.

Though in her time of despair, the Hunters recognized and listened to Kiya to set forth to find the wizard Jhul'vus and have the curse runes removed to where she could return to her natural form, or take his head to sate her thirst of revenge.

Bio part 2: Kiya's life before the pods (This is unknown to Kiya).

Kiya's true name was Keahsia Cachekley, and she worked as a miner and forge worker in the Bloodspear tribe lead by a Dakarnok worshiper. Though, Keahsia was consistently kept busy by her Gaknulak worshiping friends with their wild and creative ideas for the next best lethal invention. Due to Keahsia's unusual strength and lack of magic, far more was expected of her to get ores transported, and with a higher work order around the forge then most. Strangely enough most in her family were sorcerers which made her feel excluded from their activities, and one of her brothers kept a parrot familiar that she had to tend to daily despite it's spontaneous spite towards her; this lead to daily squabbles between the bird and herself. Such quarrels made her instinctively enjoy colourful feathers, for on the inside it made her feel like she ate that bird and wore it's skin, and due to that her family nicknamed her Kea.
Her life was ordinary, any accomplishment made in her work to her was regarded as another success for the tribe, and any intruders were treated as that day's fine roast. One day, a strange trespasser appeared in the middle of their temple during the daily meditation session before her work shift, something they never seen before. An Illithid emerged from misty portal beside the statues of the great three, and it stunned all at first sight, but the warriors quickly advanced attempting to stab it down to no avail.
It stood there for a brief moment, barely glancing at those before it, and the warriors suddenly dropped their weaponry to advanced into the portal in a line. Thralls poured out to kill and capture as many of them as instructed but Keahsia tried to flee and warn others to run, though the moment she looked behind her to see what was charging through the tunnel an Orog kicked her snout broken, and rendered her unconscious for transport to the pods. When she awoke saved by the Goblin from the pod, his accent created a new identity for her when trying to pronounce her name.

Goals:
Find the drow Jhul'vus eventually.
Form a network, make connections.
Learn the culture of the City to the best of her ability.
Keep her rage in check and not end up in a cage, or worse.
Sample every sort of booze and food the city offers.
Sub-plot:
-Finding Jhul'vus to arrange a deal to remove the curse runes, or seek revenge for the vile act not only insulting her, but her people as a whole.
-Research on the Illithid situation within the region.

Misc Facts:

The deep imbedded rage Kiya feels from her downfall religiously, physically, and mentally will eventually lead her to snap from her depression into a frenzied and malicious fighter

Kiya can not perform any gnomish racial abilities and is clueless on the language.

Tends to speak in third person, in a tribe there is very little of -I- and -mine- but -us and ours-, what tribe she was in and picked the habit up from she can not recall.

The curse scars are still very visible when her arms or face is exposed.
