lvl 9 arcane shapchange iron golem form

Unread post by sobebop »

what are the RP options with this form, in regards to working with Gondar? can it be used, and tested with Gondar to further the study of mechanics, and devices, or is it further out of the device/mehcanical realm?

i am not sure how much an iron golem, and a mechanical gondsman will differ. i am sure they differ quite abit, i wonder if the iron golem would be any use to a Gondar? i assume yes, but want to ask before i take it any further.

Iron golems in the forgotten realms arn't mechanical beings.

They are the exact same golems as a.. bone golem, clay golem and all the magically crafted golems are.

The Gondsman is partly mechanical, which differs a lot.

that makes perfect sense.

is it accurate to say the iron golem would look nothing like what you actaully turn into when you use the spell? to me it looks like a robot/mech more so than some iron mold.

im going to google some iron golem pics! i no think i understand what they should look like.

something more like this

i think i understand now. the ingame polymorph into an iron golem looks more rebotic to me than it should. might just be me though.

to me, the current ingame iron golem would appear to be benificial for someone constructing something of the like to study. see how it moves, and try to create a mechanical way for it to happen. of course there's more than just mechanics behind a gondsman.

Actually, the real awnser is that these golems look like what their creators want them to look like.

Here.

http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Iron_golem
The most basic iron golem appears to be massive suit of heavy plated armor in a general humanoid form. Some golem crafters take special delight in their work and will fashion a mold for their iron golem before pouring in the magically treated molten iron. The average iron golem is about 12 feet tall and weighs 5,000 pounds.
