Weapon of Choice:
A Club; with or without either a Shield or a Torch.

Background:

He used to be part of the Baldur's Gate's Thieves Guild once. Acting as a hired thug, and dept collector. But at that time murderous madness had consumed the guild, and he thought that it was his best interest to get as far as he could.

He found himself in Luskan, acting as a translator for Netherese under the employ of the Host tower. But I am quite sure you are well aware how the power hungry mages act when they feel they do not need someone's services anymore. By the time he was finishing his second last translation assignment he had secured enough capital to start a new in a different city. So he took his chance and fled the city of Luskan and ended up in Waterdeep.

In the City of Splendors; he gave a go at running a tavern. But with the already existing competition in the City Splendors and lack of proper 'Thieves' Guild' to rely on - he found out how he was making less money every month, until he was forced to sell off his tavern. He then acted as a hired thug and a dept collector for various individuals, but found no solace in his job as at the end of the day he would have to pay the brunt of any any random mistake by himself.

Finding employment as a guardsman in the Merchant's League Caravans, after two years he found himself back in Baldur's Gate.

Goals:
Strike it rich, for once and for all.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
  • He was born and raised in the Farmlands of Baldur's Gate.
  • He used to love roaming around, until an elf cought him and took his eye. After the incident he remained under the protection of the city walls, and little bit little became a low ranking member of the guild.
  • While he doesn't have a genuine mean streak, given the chance he will not refuse the opportunity to 'beat up' an elf.
  • He is one of the best Netherese translators in the realms.
  • He is rather fond of blueberry muffins.
  • He was once hired by a group of human and elven adventurers to carry their equipment. He did the task as commaned. But when he went out to collect more firewood, he could hear the adventurers speak in elven how they would 'get rid of him' once they had secured the tomb. He continued to carry their burdens and hold the torch, as they ventured deeper into a tomb told to contain untold riches. The place was filled with the dead, and while the adventures watched out for each others backs, our half-orc had to fend off the dead himself. Finally the final room and the resting place of an ancient mage was found. There were cries of joy, and shortly after the adventures turned their blades at him. He was no match against them in a fair fight. But as luck would have it, he was the only one carrying a torchs. He put it out, and the tomb was engulfed in total darkness. Elves and humans require light to see, half-orcs do not. He slipt away, and triggered a trap that caused the final room to seal itself with the blinded group of adventurers. Luckily those adventurers had paid him in advance.
  • While 'on the job' he usually wears a full suit of plate armor. He has grown to be quite adept at moving more or less silently with it.
  • He might be interested in joining the Thieves Guild 'anew.'
  • His adoptive parents still live on the farmlands, but he has not visited them, as he feels they do not truly understand him.
  • He fights dirty, her tries to stun and dazzle opponents with his shield or torch so that he can strike them harder where it hurts.
  • Knowing someone is coming after him, he usually has his back against a wall and only one heavily trapped path leading to him.
