Name: Mavicyr Savyr, born Elmar Savyr
Appearance: Mavicyr is of average height and weight. Despite his seemingly lighter build, he can still wear a heavy armor and swing a weapon with ease. The long, blond hair with darker streaks is tied neatly in a ponytail held with silver clasps. His facial features are well defined, with high cheekbones and a sculpted nose. Clear blue eyes gives him a trusting appearance. The dark underneath his eyes makes him seem tired and weary but it is not detectable in his speech or demeanor. The lines on Mavicyr's face suggest that smiling comes easily to him as well as frowning. When he frowns, his face takes a very serious look with his mouth set in a thin line. The stubble gives him an older appearance than his 27 years. Overall, Mavicyr is not an ugly man but would not win the contest of the most handsome man on Toril. His back is straight and head held high, walking with confidence and an air of pride. He is well mannered and polite unless someone gives him a reason to be otherwise. From the way Mavicyr speaks, it can be discerned that he had a learned upbringing. His voice is melodic and clear, with a very distinct accent from Athkatla, Amn.
His appearance is always well cared for; neat and tidy, armor and equipment well polished and looked after. If standing close to him, a faint scent of citrus can be smelled. Standing this close, a strong feeling of comfort and safety can also be sensed [Aura of Courage]. For casual wear Mavicyr is often seen in very rich, ornate robes with gold embroidery. When the situation demands, he is wearing a heavy armor with golden details. He always wears a jacinth gem on a thick, golden chain around his neck. [If your character knows celestial. they can see a connection.] A bag of medical supplies is always slung over his shoulder, this also bearing gold embroidery and suggests that Mavicyr is knowledgeable in the art of healing. A cloak of fine fabric hangs around his shoulders with the holy symbol of Lathander. When he is wearing armor, an enchanted shield is secured under the cloak. An enchanted axe is hanging from one side of his belt and an aspergillum on the other [a mace which dispenses holy water].
One does not need to spend a long time in Mavicyr's presence to realize that he is a specialty priest of Lathander.

Facial Hair Style: Neat stubble
Personality Profile: Mavicyr is zealous in his religious belief and strives to make others understand that Lathander's light is for everyone. Of course, not everyone will agree with that. He will speak, praise and sing of Lathander at any given moment. When Mavicyr gets into this state of fervor, some people swear there is something that changes about him.
He is honest and would not lie if he can avoid it. He cares greatly about other people and their welfare and will do what he can to aid them. Often times he has little to no money due to his generosity - or perhaps it has something to do with that he is spending it as soon as he gets any. However, he would never part with his priestly vestments or anything else in connection to his faith even if it could probably feed a family for a year. He relies on his parents to supply most of his equipment.
Every thing has its specific place in Mavicyr's life, and so all he owns and looks after must be neat and tidy. Potions and bottles are arranged in a way that makes perfect sense for himself but not for anyone else. Herbs are picked with the utmost care with fine pincers and for Mavicyr to make a simple healing ointment would take days, when it would take others only hours.

Background:
Mavicyr was born in Athkatla, the City of Coin, in Amn. His given name was Elmar and he took the name Mavicyr upon reaching a certain rank in the church. It means jacinth, the firery gemstone in the Celestial language. His father, Vess Savyr, is a smith perfecting the finer details on armors and who is doing quite well for himself and his family. Mavicyr's mother, Elona Savyr, assists with the bookkeeping and designs. His elder brother by two years, Belni Savyr, is set to inherit the family business and learning the ropes of the trade. His younger sister by six years, Viveca Savyr, is hopefully going to be married into a another prospective merchant house. Mavicyr discovered the faith of Lathander by chance when he heard a preaching cleric one day as a child on the city's vast marketplace. His family are glad he is devout to a goodly god but do not understand his fervor. Mavicyr's father in particular believes in modesty and his and Mavicyr's views often clash. His family are followers of Waukeen, the Merchant's Friend.
Mavicyr slightly resents at being in Beregost, away from the bustling city life and his beloved temple, The Dome of the Rose in Athkatla. Even so, he is determined to make the most of his time and prove his worth to his parents. He was sent to Beregost after having several relations with other merchant daughters, resulting in their conversion to Lathander's faith and utter devotion to him. It created a bad image of his family and rumours were afloat. Mavicyr refused to marry any of the girls and accepted anything else his family would deem fit as punishment. He had not expected them to send him away to the small town with constant problems yet still maintains good relations with his family. Well, somewhat good.
