I was trying to explain a fellow player how lorewise, clerics are the most potent necromancers in the realm, when I encountered a little conundrum specific to this server.
The domain Undeath, is only available to one deity on BG, as per this topic. And that one deity is the drow goddess Kiaransalee.
In Forgotten Realms lore, Shar (and Velsharoon but he's not on our server), also has the domain.
I presume this is an oversight or/and attempt at balancing out the number of domains each deity has?

Re: The domain undeath?
If she has it at this time in our timeline by lore then it was probably just something that didn't get spotted.
Good catch!

Re: The domain undeath?
According to Faiths & Pantheons Shar has Cavern, Darkness, Evil, and Knowledge - and that's after she killed Ibrandul and took his power in the Time of Troubles. So right now she only has Darkness, Evil, and Knowledge by FR canon lore.
Velsharoon isn't a god for another 20 years.
That leaves only Kiransalee with the Undeath domain.

Fair enough, just seems very weird that there's not a single surface deity focused around undead.

Re: The domain undeath?
D&D Lost Empires Book has Myrkul having the Undeath Domain. Should anyone still be interested in this.
