Background:

Taargus grew up around many humans and liked very few of them. As a child, his father was the only non-human he knew, and he stuck around just long enough to teach him the importance of two things: a strong bow and a strong drink.

After a rough childhood and the death of his mother, Taargus traveled and fought as a mercenary. Several years and thousands of arrows later, he realizes taking orders is for lesser men, and he strikes off to carve his own (mis)adventures.

Goals:
To get stronger and obtain gear that will make him a better mercenary.

To become a master bowyer like he pretends his father was, and to craft a legendary longbow.

To continue to take pleasure in smoke, drink, and women.

Plot-Hook/Facts:
Taargus’s father is alive, though he is oblivious to this.

In order to provide for his mother, he was taken as a whipping boy for the son of his cruel liege lord. He became very close to the son and the two grew up and trained together. After the death of Taargus’s mother, an incident occurred that ruined the boys friendship, and Taargus left to become a mercenary.
