Barbarian needs equipment. Expensive equipment. It is possible to get it. But a caster has it easier.

With a melee non gish class it will take a considerable more amount of money to supply the best equipment. Got to get that epic weapon (can get up to 800k for a real powerful one) than you need those bracers of blinding strike right? There goes another 120k. Than all the amulets, rings, boots, helm, and if you use UMD, than you have the cost of wands. Most casters could walk around naked and barely lose any effectiveness where as a non gish melee guy/gal can't do nearly as well. All my caster's equipment are spot/listen items that are pretty cheap; all her equipment added together maybe costs 100k brand new.
So, I'd just go with what you like to play. If you're looking to make tons of money and be less reliant on equipment, talk with some of these builders about arcane/divine gish builds or even a pure caster type.

Re: A good Strong Class...?
Well, I would say a Fighter is a good class to play with - especially f you plan on partying up with other people.
Find a mage to party with, ask him to buff you. And then you become a death dealing machine.
If you are asking for Solo play, then you should know the Persistent World is geared towards parties. So you will find it harder to play alone. Certainly not impossible though.
I've heard it said that going Bard is the best in that case. You take the class (multiclass) to get access to magic. Then you can buff yourself. But this comes at the cost of lower attack bonus and Strength. So you will end up hitting less hard that a pure melee would. (without caster levels)
Wizards and Rogues are generally classes that are more difficult to play. Sorcerers and Favoured Souls are a lot easier. Druids even more so. Spirit Shamans are difficult. Bards are pretty easy. Fighters too. Man-at-Arms are fairly easy going too. Paladins are medium difficulty. They can be hard because you have to combine casting expertise with melee action. And the buffs can be quite short at low levels.
In general though, partying with other people is THE way to go. It helps sooooo much. You get roleplay, and you learn about the game mechanics. And you probably will also get a DM event every once in a while. (spontaneously)
For money I would say, pick a character class that complements a group of people you play with. Then you get rich by taking on bosses and slaying critters / dungeons.
Favoured Souls and casters are good for this. In some cases they can take on bosses by themselves. Solo.

One of the best! The others are warlock, favored soul and druid. Warlock blasts neverendingly but it's a bit less sturdy, while FS and Druid are inherently indestructible. You roll one of those and go, usually...but apparently he already played cleric and druids, so bard or warlock maybe?Rasael wrote:

Re: A good Strong Class...?
The good thing about playing a fighter is that you have a lot of feats very early. (Unless you are going for WM/FB build that eats up feats.) This means that you can get Weapon Focus/Specialization, Power Attack, Combat Expertise and Knockdown very early. If you need AC, you can put on a Tower Shield, if you need even more AC you got Combat Expertise. You can also go all out on damage by wielding your weapon in both hands toggling on Power Attack.
So if you start out by with a fighter, you will not really have problems until you start to get nearer to early epics, because then equipment becomes paramount. Things tend to turn back in your favour once you reach late epics, as a result of gaining those Epic Feats and Epic Equipment.
Barbarian performs somewhat similarly, but their lack of feats is what is kind of holding them back. They are also lacking Heavy Armour and Tower Shield proficiencies, so you might be tempted multiclass early just for those proficiencies.
But if you decide to roll a Barbarian, it might be best to go for Whirlwind Frenzy variant and take Ice-Troll Berzerker as one of your first feats. That is +2 in both Natural and Dodge. With 11 levels of Barbarian that becomes +4 in Natural, +3 Dodge, at Barbarian 20 it is +6 Natural and +4 Dodge, and if you qualify for Epic Rage, +8 Natural and +5 Dodge.
And you also want as many Extend Rage feats you can squeeze in without forgetting Extra Rage. Barbarian 20/Fighter 10 is a good build to go for. One of the perks is that you do not necessarily need Combat Expertise, as you can keep Power Attack on and simply Rage with the Whirlwind Frenzy variant.
But anyhow, casters do have it bit easier still. Even though as a common warrior the first ten levels are simply a breeze. For example my level 10~ Barbarian cuts down everything in Cloakwook in a round or two, allowing me to "tab (My key for next target) charge" for fast grinding.

Re: A good Strong Class...?
Ease of play, easy leveling and looting?
Make one of the strong archer builds with HIPS and add a few open lock points.
You wont be doing some of the harder (read insane) bosses alone but pretty much anything else is dead meat walking.
There are some great caster builds out there but for ease of play id recommend going fighter or roguebased.
Like:
Fighter8, EA5, Assassin 8, Arcane archer 9 (HIPS in the 20ties..)
or
Rogue13, Assassin 8, Arcane archer 9 (HIPS in the low midlevels)
Then its just a matter of tab shooting.
Dex or STR?
There are +6 and +8 mighty bows out there, the fighterbased build above will have an AB 50+ even if you dont go above DEX at 17.
However, if you cant play the toon you really want to play now.
What makes it easier to play later?
How will playing something else make you better at mechanically playing the character you really want to play?
Play what you want to play, dont play what you hate.
PS. The strongest build you can make however is the lv30 campfire guy.
Classes unimportant and you really dont need to kill anything at all. Thus nothing will have killed you, ever.
Chitchat the other players heads off at some location and attain invisibility by some means to do the fetch quests.
At roughly 4 hrs of gametime a week that should mean about 10.000 xp a week from chatting and quests making you lv30 after slightly less than a year, if you are consistent and dont add xp penalties to the build.

Also if possible anyone with a good build for Druids a long time ago i was playing and i manage to play it with a good group and made it to level 15-18 with the help of a friend and partys i was a Shifter (mostly in tree form) but when i came back my character was deleted

http://nwn2db.com/build/?148657 <- Dwarven Barbarian 20/Fighter 10. As long as your character can rest every 20~ or so minutes, you should not run out of uses of Rage.
If you are not happy with the negative ability scores, you can lower dexterity to 10, intelligence to 13, and strength to 17 and you should have all ability scores at 10 or higher. Decreasing strength will mean that you have to adjust your epic feats slightly to get Epic Rage.
As for a good build for a Druid, I believe this build has pretty much everything you need: http://nwn2db.com/build/?106802
(Zen Archery is there so that you can use a bow or sling out of Wildshape.)

Half-orc build: http://nwn2db.com/build/?149137
As for human, you can just change the race of the dwarf build into a human. (After clicking the make copy button.) For the human bonus feat, Luck of Heroes, Monkey Grip (if you want to use a really big weapon with shields), or something like that.
Edit: As a human, get another Extend Rage.
