DM VileThings Events
Firstly, DMogorgon's has some great rules. So I hereby steal them for myself in addition to some of my own.
• Do not expect the game mechanics to replace Roleplaying: A strange one to put first but one that has caused some large issues. Don't expect a skill roll to solve the problem, track mode to somehow notify me you are tracking and so on. Always indicate what you are doing if you are expecting a response or input from me. Then wait. I cannot stress this enough, the DM client is not fast, nor is changing areas or reading several different conversations from groups who refuse to stick together in an event...
• Stick Together: Seriously. Do this. The only reason in an event you should have to not be in the same area and same conversation, is if it is meant to be private. In which case, don't use party chat, give me a short synopsis when you are done of what you care for me to know about the discussion.
• Do not run/change areas quickly: Without an RP reason for doing so. I need time to respond to your RP and prepare/make adjustments to the path ahead of/behind you. However, if the RP dictates it – and especially when combat starts – then by all means, run. This goes for changing areas quickly or without warning, especially when looking for input from me as to your actions.
• Be patient (Super Important): With me, and with your fellow players. Things will go wrong, always. There will be glitches and technical issues. RL will intervene. Do your best to roll with these punches. The larger the group, the more spread out you are, the more conversations being had and tells being sent, the more patience you need.
• Death: I find that nothing is more immersion-breaking than people being cut down, raised, and then immediately running off and being combat-capable once more. Therefore, if you die in one of my events... Confirm with me after the battle before raising or moving on once raised.
• Do NOT attack non-hostile NPC's - EVER: If a spawn is hostile, feel free, if a spawn is not hostile, DO NOT TRY ATTACK THEM. IF you wish to attack them, either emote your intent and/or send me a quick message in the DM channel that you intend to attack, then wait for instructions on how we will proceed.
• Declare Stealth: Not to the server of course, but to me. If you are in stealth, please mention it it in the DM channel (remember, you cannot hide from us). You don't need to do this every time you stealth, but declare it if it is pertinent to the event such as: scouting ahead, sneaking up on the camp, sneaking up on other PC's.
• Forum: Use it for best results. Write-up IC accounts or rumours of your events. Continuing RP on the forum (can) result in extra rewards from me, and possibly plot continuance with more events in the same arc.
Finally, a word of warning on keeping your IC hat on when dealing with threats. If it seems like I am attempting to impart the danger, indirect or otherwise, of an action, do not be surprised if you still attempt it and things go wrong in a more permanent manner. If I warn you that a creature eats magic and magical items, expect for a magical thing you are using to disappear permanently. If I warn you that a course of action seems likely to kill you, don't be surprised if you die by DM smite. Experienced (epic) and Fearless (the feat) do not equate to stupid. Characters in my events who deal with threats a bit too casually get eaten
I am available from 1am-12pm GMT typically. That's should be prime time for Australian and pacific players.
I prefer short and simple events, but a one to two hour event should be expected for most investigation type stories. I don't do world shaking quests, but am happy for epics to get involved. Just remember the scope of the event when participating, if you find yourself looking down on the events unfolding due to your personal power/prestige, you probably should move along. All my events have a direction regardless of player input, they can be completed in various ways and I do not prefer any alignments approach.

"Mrriiip," it ribbitted. Another one of the goblins enthusiastically ran over and was allowed to lick it.
Stupid gob-things it thought. I'll need bigger things soon. Maybe smarter things.

Re: DM VileThings Events
With the travelling band of merchants slowly gaining some gold from their dealings with locals along the tradeway, they've decided to make it a regular thing.
Deirdre the Jeweler: A relatively experienced native of Baldur's Gate, Deirdre is seeking gems to improve her craft and turn into delightful decorations for her customers.
Jerg the Salvage Operator: A half-orc in Baldur's who has spent most of his life lifting and breaking things on the dock. Jerg realized a talent for fixing broken things and turning worthless scrap into (mostly) useful things once more.
Luthor the Mastersmith: A talented, but bored, smith who makes ends meet with trivial and standardized magical items for merchants around town. Luthor's side business is in engraving and altering existing items to improve their look, but not their effectiveness.

Re: DM VileThings Events
A slight tremor in the Cloud Peaks drew little concern from the locals of Nashkel, failing to cause an avalanche or any other major changes nearby. A local adventurer curious about the tremor failed to find anything in all the new snow only through a lack of an understanding of the region, though not for lack of trying.

Re: DM VileThings Events
A few of the local traders, auctioneers and merchants have parted with some very strange items of late. Some by chance others through a series of coincidences and twists of fortune.
While those in possession of these curious items are from different walks of life, a strange drive unites them as they fail over and over again to understand what it is they now hold. With knowledge of the items and avenues for further inquiry drying up, it looks as if the natures of these items may never be uncovered...

It bobs along unnoticed.
Bouncing off stone gutters and clattering across cobbles, it pauses, spinning.
It slows to a stop. Then edges slowly over the rim of the drain, plummeting deeper into the dark.
A shattering of glass...

A Few of my Favourite things... Active
An accident in the countryside, a private collectors works lost.
The wrath of giants and a foul smelling landslide. A ritual site undiscovered? Or just a build up in sewerage?
Something About a Staff Active
Ghostly figures found stalking forgotten places. Seekers and a stolen staff.
Lost phantasmal guardians and a forgotten and faded portal.
