Hushed whispers involving several instances of animals fighting slowly spread from Gloura's Wings into the city of Sshamath. It's said that the beasts are trained to tear each other apart while their master's watch, betting on the victor with gold and narcotics.
Rumor has it, anyone can participate, so long as they have enough gold and a beast to command.
Hushed rumors transform into disturbing stories after multiple sightings of a man surrounded by worgs goes viral. He was last seen deep inside the sewers of Sshamath, barking out commands to the beasts before him in a tongue so feral, a witness believed him to be a beast in humanoid form..

It is said that a Yathrin from the local Lolthite temple would appreaciate to watch a tournament of fighting creatures. She would be even willing to sponsor a prize if such a tournament could be organized.

Rumors continue to spread after an elderly Vistani woman was supposedly seen communing with an unusually large black wolf on the outskirts of Sshamath in the Darkwood District. Whilst surrounded, the woman seemed to strike a deal with the pack of wolves before vanishing amidst the fog.
Soon after, a large shipment of crates marked with large black paws were transported into Sshamath's marketplace, the Dark Weavings Bazaar. Each marked crate quickly went missing, one after the other..
Someone..or something lives deep within the sewers of Sshamath, calling it their home and a place of sanctuary. Bones stripped of flesh litter the sewer floor and the echoed shrill of wild beasts call from deep, hidden chambers, haunting the depths with their feral cries. It's rumored that dangerous transactions occur down there where gold has no value, where only the pacts an individual makes to receive favor in exchange for favor carry any worth. Anyone who dares to enter the sewers should be cautious. The beasts are there and they will find you..
A small pack of large feral wolves were seen on multiple occasions roaming the tunnels just outside the great trade city of Sshamath. Distant howls, winding paw tracks and disfigured creatures were left in their wake as they ventured from tunnel to tunnel, killing any and all monstrous threats. Surprisingly, not a single adventurer was harmed.. Were they actually protecting the city "and" it's residents? Or was there something else driving their actions?
Something foul is amiss in the tunnels this cycle..
A feral pack of wolves was seen hovering over the body of a defeated, though still living adventurer. They looked unto a man as he showed them how to inflict pain, and in the end, how to kill. It was evident then, the wolves once rumored to only kill monstrous threats lurking outside Sshamath's borders were but pups when it came to the hunt. But now, they have a new menu, one that seemed to both rally and excite them to no end..
