Personality.

Kyther is a restless character that constantly seeks entertainment and thrills.
He's a conversationalist with a curious nature.
At heart he is a trickster that tends to let his impulses guide him, when ever it is aiding those in need or helping himself to people their pockets.

It's a character that takes his deity serious by not taking it all that serious, often trying to make his own luck.
While appearing to be confident he does have his limits , or at least knows when to heel.

He does have a decent understanding about how the world works and can discuss things with others on a more serious level, it's just that he will often chose not to.
He tends to hide the fact he has a serious side at all.

Background:

Kyther originally hails from the Mistle dales, born in a small community of travelling bards and merchants that earned their coin through entertainment.
From early age he is used to moving around as he grew up next to other races, mainly elf/human/hin and gnomes.
At the age of 45 he decided to leave the community in favour of becoming a wizard apprentice simply because there was an opportunity to do so.
A moon elf named Kanal'tril saw potential in the young elf.

While Kyther possessed a keen mind he lacked the discipline to cast spells.
It became visible that the young elf would not be able to learn the art , but at least he showed a remarkable knack for working with magical artifacts.
Thus he changed from an apprentice to an assistant, which made his life a bit timeless (about 60 years passed)
He would often head off for a while ,travel around and explore places and head back and work for his coin.

During his stay he was encouraged to train himself physically as well yet again it showed that Kyther lacked both strength and interest to do so.
Along the line it came out that he had the ability to cast spells, yet as a natural caster with an accent on Illusions.
Out of the blue he left and joined the old travelling group again.
This is when reality hit him as a lot of his old friends where either old and grey or dead.

Unable to find his place back in the community the bard decided to travel on his own, often performing in taverns.
In Waterdeep he got accompanied by a human female called the haunting bard, the name was given by her because of the ghostly visage and the ability to vanish in front of people their eyes in a blink.
Next to performing the two enjoyed some basic adventuring and exploits.
At the age of 60 she retired in Watderdeep as the two of them still seemed to enjoy themselves.
A few years later she died from illness and thus Kyther went on alone further, introducing himself as the haunting bard to honour his old companion.

Goals:

- Seeking excitement and amusement and trying to get the more 'boring' Seldarine followers to go with it.

- Writing and telling tales and simply fortune.

- Building the legacy of the 'haunting bard'.

- Learning in general about life, every bit of knowledge is welcome.

- Aiding followers of the Seldarine if required

- Learning the origins about his natural spell casting and shadow dancers.

- Finding a couple of companions to cause legendary mischief with.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:

- The character is in general good for RP that involves conversations/scouting/spying and trickery, it isn't much of a fighter.

- Can be used to spread tales around or cause chaos, he's prone to make a mess.
It's a bit like giving a pyromaniac gnome a fire wand and say have fun.

- RP events that involve wood creatures/thieves/elves in general.

-The other bard female was named the haunting bard was a shadowdancer, up to her death Kyther had no idea how she did it neither did she ever told him.
She did hint some things but he was never sure if it was truth or lie, she followed Leira or at least she spilled it after a few drinks.

Plot could be that it was all an Illusion and she never died or was a human, I'm open for anything with this.

- In the long run it would be fun if he would get a side kick in the form of a fey/pixie which allows me to RP two obnoxious characters at the same time.
This is something in RP I would really like to do.

Rp wise the old Wizard had an imp called Erys which Kyther considered to be a partner in crime.

- I've always been more comfortable with playing evil and well if the RP ever goes that way I'm willing to let him slide there.
