Item crafting clarification

Unread post by glbrogdon444 »

Howdy,

I've been told by players that PCs can only make scrolls, wands and potions, but I noticed that Craft Wondrous Item and Craft Magic Arms and Armor were still options at my last level up.

What's the deal? Can make wondrous items or what?

Thanks,

Lou

No you can't.

The craft feats weren't disabled, but doesn't give any mechanical advantage at this time.

I know of several players in the past who have taken one or more of those feats for RP reasons - you may even be able to use them in a DM event - but they confer no mechanical ability at the moment.

it would be nice to see some "mechanical" means to benefit from this. Like ways to get coins besides chest grinding.

I do agree. Don't be shy to put up a suggestion in the suggestion forum. Rasael and the team might like it.

This is already in place in a very minor way and could easily be expanded upon. For example, a high skill in craft armor allows you to get better loot from armor stands. It would be nice to see more of this throughout the server.

Maybe the ability to reforge the "broken items" you occasionally find. (Like some random weapon drop when you get enough of them to reforge)
