Official status of the "Lolthites on the Surface" plotline?

Can we please get an "official" update about the status of the recent plotline involving the Drow on the Surface ?

I of course have seen the post on the forums about a "rumour" that the threat of the Drow activity has been ended.

But, in all likelihood, my character has not been around the places this rumour would tend to circulate. And to be blunt, something as all emcompassing as this plot should deserve a slightly better ending, in my opinion. Even if it's just a more descriptive write-up by the DM(s) involved.
Thus, my main, and the majority of other characters he has been RP-ing with for weeks, are basically left in limbo, not sure what is going on (or not going on, as it appears to be.)

I think I can figure out what the status is, but some of us would really appreciate knowing one way or another. We have invested a TON of time and some of the best RP in awhile into this plot. If we have to just suddenly drop it all......well.....as incredibly annoyed and truly discouraged as we might be, at least we will KNOW.

This is the official report on the drow Idol plot from the Surface's perspective :

Fear and the massive confusion caused by the drow raids continues to run rife among the citizens of the Coast. Ever-conflicting rumors of drow sightings and unexplained acts circulates the northern-lands like wildfire, spreading among the rural farmsteads and smaller villages originating from the survivors of the affected villages. Survivors of the Ulgoth's Beard raid continue to count their losses, finding the total amount thought dead or missing less than was initially reported. Reconstruction efforts on the village are well underway, and even the Dukes have aided by providing a generous donation of labor and resources to aid in the town's reconstruction efforts. However, nothing can bring back the missing or the dead, and Ulgoth's Beard is almost a ghost-town.
