Image
First Name: Nicholas
Last Name: Night

Appearance:
Race: Human
Age: 34
Height 5'9"
Weight: 160ish
Eyes: Heterochromatic. The left is blue while the right is bright red.
Hair: Black, though shows a small sign of graying.
Facial Hair Style: Mostly clean shaven
Personality Profile:
General Health: Good health with no conditions that are permanently detrimental
Deity: Bane, but not open about it.
Initial Alignment: Lawful Evil
Profession: Scholar, Merchant
Base Class & Proposed Development: Warlock. Warlock 17/Hellfire Warlock 3, the rest (21-30) continues Warlock
Habits/Hobbies: Nicholas always seems to be reading books on magic and the arcane or researching some ancient texts. He's prone to insulting Paladins and anyone liken to them purely for their quickness to judge people/abilities/places/etc. especially when the word "evil" is thrown about.
Languages: Common, Elven, Orcish (wants to learn Drow)
Weapon of Choice: Quarterstaff, though he'll use anything he likes the look of.

Background:

A foreigner to Baldur's Gate, and the Sword Coast in general, Nicholas K. Night is the latest in the Night family line of mages, wizards, sorcerors, and the like. He hails from Bryn Shander to the North, his reason for being so far away from home being only to gather materials to sell once he returns (at least that's what he says). With a noble upbringing, he possesses manners, grace, and etiquette not typical of an adventurer. He does what he can to keep neat, clean, and presentable and attempts to dress in the finest garb, no matter how much coin it costs.

The Night Family's reputation for being very shrewd businessmen/women is only less well known than their affinity for magic, though the origins of such are a very closely guarded family secret. Centuries ago, Mason Night had entered a pact with a very powerful Pit Fiend and forwarded its work in our realm in secrecy until his death in exchange for him and his descendants to gain the gift of arcane knowledge, therein elevating them beyond their peasant existence. His son Adrian, upon learning of the genesis of his abilities, killed his father, banished the Fiend back to the Hells, and proceeded to kill himself out of guilt of his deed.

Goals:
  • Finding the Pit Fiend that is the source of his family's arcane ability and, if possible, erasing it from existence. (Last part subject to change depending on the course of RP)
  • More to come as RP goes on
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
  • Greediness and jumping at any large prospect of treasure
  • Hunt for more Arcane Knowledge (Ancient Libraries perhaps?)
  • Killing the undead or unholy creatures
  • Has a keen interest in magically attuned objects as well as notable magic users, no matter the reputation.

Proud Warlock since 2005.
Nicholas: "Warlocks are not inherently evil. What sets our pacts apart from that of a Thaumaturgist? Is our loyalty to this is any different than you and your god? We are not evil, good sir.. we just have different ideas of good."

>_> I'm very bad at these, so I apologize for the lack of quality

Also, changed any mention of a Balor to a Pit Fiend after discovering I'd had the two mixed up. -.- I'd also like to backhand a certain Module that uses the same character model for both which only furthered this error
