Assay resistance

Unread post by illithid »

Does it work for all casting classes when cast from a scroll? or only those that can can potentially have the spell in their spell book? (cleric, fs, domain, wizard, sorc)

or more precisely...Does my warlock gain +CL10 with his invocations/blasts if this is cast?

The description on the nwn2wiki says that it "increases the caster's spell penetration by 10 (but only against the spell target)".
The scroll should work the same as the spell, the only difference is that the spell is cast from the spell level of the scroll. And with AR this seems to only affect duration.
You should probably expect a shorter duration of a spell cast from a scroll compared to when its launched by the caster him/herself, unless ther caster is low level. I'm not sure what level this spell is cast at from scrolls, though.

I believe it's 7, so that means 42 second duration.

I know it works for spells, I'm unsure whether invocation and blast CL checks are coded differently for spell penetration?

It hasn't seemed to in the testing I've done, but I'm unsure against what SR's I'm testing
