Hello, iv restarted playing here after some time and yet allot of new stuff been added.

I'm Curious about the shadow adept class and shadow magic

But first off, since listed under the new feat section, is it possible for say a rogue/mage that worship Shar to take Shadow Magic Feat to have the same basic change a shadow adept have
or do i need to become SA for it.

The Feat is as follows:

Shadow Magic
Type of Feat: Spellcasting
Prerequisites: Patron deity Shar and / or Magical Discovery or Shadow Adept 1

Shadow Magic is a Feat granted by taking the Shadow Adept PrC, at level 1.

At the Shadow Adept listing at New Classes, Shadow Magic Feat is listed as Shadow Magic User, and should probably be changed, as it is slightly confusing.

In order to receive the Shadow Magic Feat, you will need to submit an application to the DMs for taking the Shadow Adept PrC.

Hello Cyril, you must understand that shadow magic and the shadow weave which followers of Shar draw from are not the same thing, although they are closely related. Shadow magic is independent of shadow weave magic. Possession of shadow magic is very rare in the Realms, though classes like the shadowdancer draw from this magic. Knowledge of the shadow weave and the shadow adept class is limited to only followers of Shar. If you want to take the prestige class Shadow Adept you must express your interest to the DM team and fill out an application form.

One more question: (2 actualy)
First would it be possible for a drow here to worship Shar in order to become one (thinking of making a mage rogue with SA and HIP)

Second, if i go human, is it doable to be a Wizard (necro or illusion specialist)/ Red Wiz / Shadow Adept / Archmage

The Shadow Weave caster feat is technically grantable by DM's to characters who have discovered the shadow weave.

But as the DM team writes their policy at this time is not to facilitate discovery of the Shadow Weave. Because it is still too obscure and secret to be plausibly discovered other than through a DM guided plot. One or two characters have achieved such a discovery in the past, but its not been continued since as far as I know. The current policy is that you need to become a Shadow Adept through worshipping Shar.
