The Quickfeet are a family of Lightfoot halflings spread out across all the lands of Faerûn. All of them are followers of Yondalla and almost all are Monks. They traverse the lands helping everyone they possibly can without seek of reward. There are three Principles of importance that all Quickfeet attempt to accomplish during their travels:
Help People Whom need it: All Quickfeet Young and Old seek to help those who need it. They will give money to the poor,water to the thirsty,clothes to the naked and will offer any medical help they can. They are very protective of children and orphans and will aid them wherever possible.
Quickfeet will never knowingly help anyone who seeks to do evil and will openly oppose and even fight it when they cross it.They never judge others by race and have been seen travelling with Orcs and Warlocks if they have proven themselves to be good hearted. They defend their friends as if family but will always try to avoid conflict if they can.
Quickfeet are very difficult to upset and verbal abuse or even threats toward them is either ignored or let off with a very minor verbal telling off or warning, If attacked they will defend themselves however;sometimes with deadly force.
A Quickfoot never harms another halfling unless they are being physically attacked by them and even then they will never kill them, They will always remind and teach fellow halflings about Yondalla.
The Acquisition of more Physical Speed: All Quickfeet desire to get even faster at everything they do while maintaining a high level of skill. Be it running, healing, fighting or even just simply talking because they believe the faster they achieve things the faster they can move on and help more people.
Their speed makes them sometimes very difficult to understand and keep up with but when asked they will Try to slow down if they can (/// Concentration roll, minimum of 5 levels below their maximum possible Concentration roll, for Example, 0 concentration skill will require a roll of 15 or above to succeed). Quickfeet even whilst standing “idle” will still be unable to stand completely still and will often fidget or dance just to stay active.
It has been rumoured that Quickfeet under the influence of Alcohol slow right down, however most quickfeet openly avoid Alcohol consumption unless tricked so this has never really been proven.
Family: All Quickfeet desire family above all other things. When they are old enough to leave their parents Quickfeet will travel the land helping others and when they feel ready, Start another line of Quickfeet to continue the family name and traditions.
Once every few years all the Quickfeet on Faerûn will meet up for a Large family reunion where they Swap Tales of Adventure, Hold games and races, meet new members of their large family and Mourne those that have died.
All children of a Quickfoot (mother or father) are born in a state of permanent Severe Hyper Activity which continues up until the day of their deaths. Whether this is caused by a Hereditary illness, A long forgotten family curse or just a Natural trait is unknown however the Quickfeet have learnt to embrace it as it provides them with much more energy than most. Another unusual trait of the family is their Ability to Fall Asleep within seconds when they desire to do so and wake up with full energy even if they were asleep for only a few moments.
Quickfeet children play throughout the day, racing each other and practise fighting hand to hand, safely and under close watch of the adults. When a quickfoot reaches Maturity,normally the age of twenty, they set out on their own path to help others and to start a family of their own once they are ready. However it is not uncommon for quickfeet to travel Together should they end up meeting again, often trying to best each other at speed.
Female Quickfeet always tend to speak of themselves in third person(Saying their name in place of I Etc.) it is unknown why they do this but most Male Quickfeet do not speak in this way although there are still some who do.
