Personality Profile: Kelafein tries to conquer any assignment dropped at his feet. He believes in himself, his blade and his martial prowess. He is very inteligent for a fighter but often loses his temper and charges mindlesly. He does his best to obey his supervisors at that time, but also always tries to do whats best for him and his personal code. He is the champion of Z'ress A'thalak.

Background:
Born and raised in Menzoberranzan, Kelafein the son of Alakas a Draada in service of Selvetarm temple and Xunae a Yath Abban in the same temple. As a child he was a part of several military facilites, treining sword prowess, tactics and foe intimidation. He was no one special until he somehow made his way into House Barrison Del'Armgo when he became a student of Uthegentel Del'Armgo. Uthegentel was the largest drow Kelafein ever saw. He teached him Z'ress A'thalak. Kelafein learned to prefer heavier weapons like the longsword over typical drow rapiers. But soon the teachings of his master were'nt enough for his growing need of combat perfection. Guided by pride he opposed his master during one of the daily training routines and was punished and exiled from the House and later rejected also by his family - especially the father dissapointed with his behaviour - he was forced to leave Menzoberranzan as well.
For some time he sided with pirates lurking in the waters of Darklake, but this was not the life for him. For a man with discipline and a set code of conduct, living a chaotic life like this was tiresome. After a short but violent talk with the soon dead companions he found his way through Araumycos to Ched Nassad. There he sided with Duergar traders, he at least thinked so. During a caravan trip to Reeshov he was attacked by his former allies. Severly injured he landed in the slave pit of the dwarfs. Selvetarm must have always watched him over though. As there he met a Svirfneblin sage called Greko. The gnome healed him with the powers that were left in him. He sensed Kelafein could bring freedom to all of the prisoners. After a ten days recovery Kelafein with a help of other prisoners launched a deadly attack during a caravan rest, slashing personally the caravans leader throat while the dwarf was sleeping.
As a token of gratitude the gnome told Kelafein he should head to Sshamath and search for a unnamed master of Z'ress A'thalak. The rumors say that he is hiding around the city of wizards from the eyes of the Lolth priestess. He didnt say why he did so. But he told Kelafein he met him personally some time ago in Sshamath, where he also met the now dead traders. They were supposedly a trading party from a Duergar compound near the city.
After the gnome made a map for him Kelafein began a long journey through Gauth territory. Guided by desire to learn and master new fighting techniques he didn't mind the dangers that he could meet in the darkness. He met several Drow patrols battling the abbominations. But he decided for now to avoid strangers, looking at the past and what it brought. One fight was particulary spectacular, a large force of Drow after a command of Mri'kul formed a defensive formation and then defended from a large force of Umber Hulks. After the battle Kelafein took what he could from the bodies of the fallen, so he could travel more safely now. With armor and weapons he felt like at home. After months of travel he arrived at the gates of Sshamath.
Goals:
1) To learn more about Z'ress A'thalak from the hidden master.
2) Conguer the Duergar compound near Sshamath
3) Organise a group of drow devoted to the teachings of Selvetarm and Z'ress A'thalak
