New player need advice

Unread post by Protoss »

Greetings everyone.

I'm curious , how can someone new in town gather information by asking 'the usual and relative safe' npc's like bartenders , local merchants , guards etc about what's happening in the area.
For example in the rumors threads you will see that flyers appeared everywhere naming some organizations and people.
My characther would like to ask someone about who are they , what they represent , etc.

Can this be done in game ? Is there a forum section for that ?

Thanks and sorry for my english !

First off, as a newcomer (however tedious this may sound) You should talk to all Npc's with a personal name. This will help you find quests and many stores a lot of players have taken years to find.

Second, once you have some quests active, I'd advise you to find players your own character level. Any group of 3 or more with an average character level of 2 or more, with a group count of 3 or more, should be able to handle some of the main quests giving high XP.

Those ones being:

Otto the miner quest: Recommended group level 4+.
Maltz quest: Recommended group level: 4+
Getting Berries quest: Recommended Group level 4+

There are others, and yes, the recommended level is higher than a starting char. Yet, with Rp, and smart usage of gold available, they are all doable, and can lead to great Rp fun adventure, and awesome XP in little time.

Use your gold, work as a team, go slow, and see the might of DnD!
