How do oobi abilities work?
I have impression that I can't properly test them in jegs.
Clicking "extended precision" opens up new floating "toolbar" with several buttons - dead eye shot, sharpshooting, ricochet shot, etc....
and from there... what? It seems I'm supposed to click on a button (which does not respond visually to beign clicked) and then click on target twice, with mouse? I'm still not sure if abilities actually function though... that sneak attack range is increased, etc.
How does oobi work?

Re: How does oobi work?
I don't think that Sneak Attack range is increased. As I understand it, only the OOBI bonus damage counts when shooting from further away than 30 feet.
Don't know about the other stuff though.

It IS supposed to increase sneak attack range, according to class description.mireigi wrote:I don't think that Sneak Attack range is increased. As I understand it, only the OOBI bonus damage counts when shooting from further away than 30 feet.

Are there any actual oobi users? I think I saw 3 oobi builds total. Months ago.

Surely QC can answer this?

Based on what I managed to do in JEGS I had impression that OOBI is simply too much trouble.Thorsson wrote:Surely QC can answer this?
So if someone chimed in and explained how it is supposed to be used, it would be nice.
Right now I have impression that those abilities require clicking/targeting things with mouse and cannot be mapped to hotbar.... in addition to that I didn't find a way to actually get that increased sneak attack range.

Sneak attack range is not increased.
OOBI is like modern day sniper. Attack safely from very long range. The most non SA damage you have the better.
I played a Fighter/WS/OOBI/Assassin build. Positioning far away with hips/camouflage picking oponents with the OOBI abilities and oneshot, if they survive all that and are close, finish them off with manyshot/deathattack. Hips and reposition.

Meaning wiki lies about it. Great.mrm3ntalist wrote:Sneak attack range is not increased.
How do you use those abilities from interface? Surely there should be better way than clicking (with MOUSE) floaty toolbar that pop-ups when you activate "extended precision" feat.mrm3ntalist wrote: I played a Fighter/WS/OOBI/Assassin build.
