Jon picks up a copy of the newest Gazzette on his way to the Elfsong Tavern. He strolls into the beer garden and smiles to Joy as he orders his usual drink. He sits in his usual seat and leans back, crossing his legs, then opens the papers with curiosity evident on his face. After some half an hour he smiles and places the papers on the table. He leans once more, sipping his wine as he observes life of the city happening before his eyes.

Ameris picks up one of the copies as he passes through Beregost. Pausing for a little while to read the paper in the Risen Phoenix, he enjoys a glass of refreshing water and some light lunch.

He turns to the second page.

He frowns.

He reads on.

Sipping from his drink, he turns to the third page.

And he bursts out into a coughing fit, eyes wide, cheeks flushed in anger.

Llywelyn groans, sinking down onto the autumn-brown grass outside of Baldur's Gate. His metal armor clatters unhappily as he shifts about on the lumpy ground. Eventually, he makes himself comfortable.

Unfurling the latest Gazette, he begins to read its words. Quietly enjoying the cool, breezy afternoon.

By the time he reaches the end of the three-page periodical, Llywelyn's openly grinning.

"Strange weather indeed," he observes, folding the paper in half. "It's not even winter yet and the Thayans have already snowed the Gazette!"

A pleasant laugh follows, before the armored man rolls himself back onto his feet. "Most interesting, though. I'll have to see about reacquainting myself with this 'Selis Vhaire.' I don't think I've seen her since the masquerade . . ."

A pause, before he looks back down at the folded-up paper in his hand. ". . . I'll have to send a copy of this to some friends as well." His smile broadens as he imagines the look on Ameris's face. And Eldarian's and Cecilia's!

Sometimes it was just so nice to be alive.
"J'avais cru plus difficile de mourir . . ."
I had imagined it was more difficult to die . . .
