Background:
Born to an unwed mother who died at birth, Rhuidain was raised among bandits and mercenaries; his father could have been any one of the men in the company. He saw war and conflict from the days when he first learned to walk, and he learned to wield a sword not long after. His skill seemed natural and he showed promise as a warrior.
Over the years, he grew to lust for battle and cared very little for who it was that met the tip of his sword. Because of the nature of his existence, he didn't care much for making friends with his fellows in arms; he knew there was a good chance they wouldn't even make it back from the next battle. This caused Rhuidain to become somewhat introverted, but he never used it as an excuse for failure.
It was at the age of 13 that he left the band of mercs he grew up, which was the only family he had ever known. By 16 he was amassing some wealth from the countless battles he fought in the employ of counts, knights, and other noblemen. He used this coin to set off across Faerun, and within the next four years he found himself in the midst of life in Baldur's Gate.
Goals:
Survival, and taking out anything or anyone that gets in the way of that
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
-He possesses a sword that once held powerful enchantments, but became cursed. He found this after managing to rid himself of a ring that was also cursed and weakened his willpower. Perhaps some powerful forces could be at play in all of this...?
-He is faithless, but even so, death is not an immediate end to a soul's journey. The Wall of the Faithless is the immediate fate of such a soul, but demons come to steal them away. Perhaps if given a perma-death, such a fate could befall Rhuidain.

Dain's journey:
((01/15/2015))
I found a ring.
He would bounce the ring in the palm of his hand, staring hard at it..
My mind feels strained. Like there's something deep in it, in the back of my thoughts, eating away at my sanity.
I tried to get rid of it; I can't find the willpower to just drop it. I tried to pawn it off on some miserable dwarf. He didn't intend to buy it, smart bastard.

Re: Rhuidain Thelandil
Charged with the task of obtaining the head of an orc chieftain, Rhuidain headed to the Sharp Tooth cave. He met up with a priest and upon exiting the cave Rhuidain explained about his ring.
"With the help of that priest, I was able to have the ring removed and destroyed. For a moment there, after the ring dropped to the ground, its hold over me became even worse..."
