Falling from grace

She woke up cold, hungry and weak. Days had passed since she was raised from the dead, but the pain of the lies, the hurts remained. A world full of colors yet black and white when it came to law vs chaos and good vs evil, family vs everyone else seemed to be blurring. Nothing was as it was in her eyes. She was betrayed, judged, hurt by those who called her family.

Her views on almost everything were challenged and were changing. A mix and swell of emotions she left the glade finally recovered from the trauma of passing to the other side and back again.

All she knew is that everything in her past was a pack of lies. New truths would have to be sought or old ones reconciled? With that she headed off into the wilds without a friend in the world, the ones who had called her friend and family had lied perhaps both of those terms hold no true meaning.

She began her search for meaning again and to put right her world, where would the path lead? Who can say, but the fire of goodness that burned within her is long gone extinguished by betrayal and lies by those who proclaim to be good, by those who proclaim her as kin. The fire in her eyes long gone replaced with a vacant 50 yard stare that should not exist for one so young.

She marched off into the dawn to explore her new reality, her new world and seek out new meaning, new truths.
