Personality Profile: Friendly and outgoing Bella loves talking to strangers and hearing there stories. She also loves talking about herself and will do so any chance she gets. Bella loves being the center of attention and will strive to put herself there most of the time. She is kind, brave, generous and loving to her friends. She is also vain, manipulative, naïve, childlike, selfish, lazy, greedy and arbitrary. But does a good job of hiding most of that.

Background: Born 1333 DR in the Dalelands with the unfortunate name Pennyblossom Fingertoes , Belladonna is the only child of the great adventurer Hawk Fingertoes. Her mother died to a monster attack while picking berries before she was a year old. Her father quickly remarried to a stern women of property Millie Hamlight who became Millie Fingertoes. The stern little women is who Belladonna thinks of as her mother. Millie already had two young sons from a earlier marriage but always treated Belladonna as her own.
It's important to talk about where Belladonna grew up and how. Friendly Fingertoes Fine Food and Taps is the name of her home. The Fingertoes (as its commonly called) is a frontier inn, nestled in a no-mans land south of Shadowdale. It was founded over 100 years ago by her great grandfather Fickli Fingertoes. It is a barren place of low rolling hills and sparse meadowlands. The main feature being a trade road running north through shadowdale, daggerdale and eventually over the DesertsMouth Mountains and south through Mistledale, Ashabenford, Highmoor, Deepingdale and finally ending at Archenbridge. The Fingertoes is less of and inn and more of a self sustaining plantation. It is home to about a dozen families of very mixed backgrounds. Humans, Dwarves, Half Orcs, Halflings, Gnomes and even an elf all call the Fingertoes home.
Not being a part of any larger nation should make the Fingertoes a lawless, dangerous place. But its not. The hard work and close sense of community between the families living there have brought a peace and prosperity to the land. Land being a lose term since its little more than a large inn surrounded by a few buildings and a big wall that is in turn surrounded by a few farms.
Some residents of note are the constable Mister Smedly the Gnome, Daven and his son Daven the local blacksmiths. There is the half orc brothers Kurgin and Krug who work as both labors and guards, Evelin Silverbow the elf priestess of Lathander and of course Bella's family. Her step mother Millie Fingertoes the part owner and operator of Fingertoes Fine Foods and taps and her many aunts, uncles, half brothers, nieces and nephews.
The most important resident was Hawk Fingertoes, Son of Tomlin, Son of Fickli. Hawk was the village's great protector. Much of that protection came from his reputation alone and from the reputation of his friends. Hawk was an adventurer with powerful friends and never able to stay put for long. He was also the chief representation for the village, when it came to dealing with other nations. Part ambassador part knight Hawk kept the village safe and made sure it got what it needed during hard winters. But he never did it from home, He was on the road ALWAYS..
A fact that never sat well with Bella's mother. She tried hard to instill a sense of community and responsibility in Bella. To turn her away from a life that might take her away from the Fingertoes. In this she failed miserably. But its not Millie's fault she never had a chance.
Bella grew up the town darling having such a famous father made her an angel in the eyes of the town folk. She was anything but... Learning quickly that she could do no wrong in the opinion of the community, She became a real hellion. Pulling pranks, Bullying other children and stealing pies were just some of her young adventures. Others were down right dangerous. Of course she never took the blame for these hijinks, Just bat an eye and look innocent, That is what Bella learned to do and still does to this day.
Bella also had another talent. She was the best shot with a sling that anyone in the village had ever seen. Some say even better than her father. One hot day she managed to pull the epic double cow plop split shot. Using a home made sling she hit constable Smedly and his wife on there way to the temple of Lathander, in the back of there heads, over a hayfield! Strikeing them both at once, with a petrified cow plop that some how split mid air.
Unfortunately like so many people with a natural talent for something, Bella put very little effort in to learning the ways of a warslinger. In fact she made an art of putting very little effort in to much of anything at all. A fact that drove her hard working stepmother to distraction. While everyone was working Bella spent her time at the inn's fireplace listening to stories of adventure. Adventure stories is something Bella could be passionate about.
Her favorite stories always involved pirates. There life of freedom became an obsession to Bella. She would spend hours on end talking to travelers and adventures, Forming in her mind an impression, Some what inaccurate of a pirates life. She imagined herself out there on the sea, Wind in her hair. Having grand adventures just like her father.
Then came the worst day in Bella's life, The day she heard that her father had died. His loss even though he was rarely around crushed her. A few days later Bella decided to change her life forever. She stopped using her old name Pennyblossom and took the name of her favorite fictional pirate character, Belladonna. She also took what gold she thought could be spared from the coffers and left. With out a word to anyone she hoped on a wagon heading south and took that to a river where she boarded a barge that went to the sea. From there she purchased a ticket on a real ship! After a few weeks of terrible seas sickness belladonna arrived in the harbor of Baldur's Gate. And her adventure begins.........

Goals: To live a life of freedom and adventure on the high seas. To be the captain of a ship. To one day retire rich and famous.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: If it has to do with pirates or the sea, Bella is going to be interested. She also feels bad about the way she left her family and would be interested in anything happening back at home.
