Odilon, of the Coast Way Adventuring Company and Guardian of the Mnemonicon, arrives to the seller's stand, with a certain haste in his step. He face showing a mix of concern, disappointment and expectation.

"My good seller...my good seller!" he exclaims with emotion. "Have you forgotten to keep your word?"

Odilon places his hands on his hips. "You have previously surmised that I, Odilon, am by far the best customer you will ever find in acquiring texts of antiquity, rarity, and beauty!" Odilon huffs.

"Nonetheless...I cannot argue what cannot be changed in a person...but I can argue is price for what I may collect. I shall take your entire stock, yet...for the price of 600 coin."

Of course you are most right Master Odilon, how could I possibly forgotten your patronage of my rare book collection. Hmmmm, please understand I have only recently returned from a long trip - the life of a Merchant is all too full of those, I'm afraid - and well, I suppose I'm still a bit addled from the bouncing of the wagon over all those leagues.

"Ahh. Not a bad piece of craftmanship. But the price is rather steep. Perhaps I could persuade you to lower it some. I would be willing to offer a great 13,000gp for the Handaxe (+4)."

*Carl stares at the man for several long seconds, possibly considering his offer*

Nay, nay... I couldn't take such a loss on the piece, but I tell you what, good sir... If you are willing to open with a bid of say... fifteen bags, and no one else betters your offer, I'll be happy to part with it at that price. I've come nearer to your ask then my own profit margin allows, but what say you?

The old man gives Carl a toothless smile.

Tobe walks past, stops and turns to inspect the goods on sale.
After a few minutes he turns to Carl and speak "the morning star interests me, I see you have a guide of two and one half bags. I feel generous, I will offer three bags. What do you say?"

Tad would notice Carl's stall, and browse wares for some time, with almost nothing apparently catching his eye. Almost turning to leave, he reconsiders in last moment, and thinks a bit more looking at particularly thin-looking suit of armor. Then he speaks to Carl.

"Thin one thing is looking a bit unusual, even if defensive grade are not high, and it requires some special qualities to wear, but maybe in future I could think of good use for it. So I can offer 7 bags for it now. How about that? Name's Tad".
