Osmo's Journal
Arrived in Baldurs Gate. The city itself is large and confusing and how anyone is able to navigate its narrow streets is beyond me. The area surrounding it is largely undeveloped and sparsly populated. Bandits roam to the north and south and undead constantly rise in the graveyard each night due to some curse or such which the local clergy have been unable to remove apparently for quite some time now. Will begin training immediatly...

Re: Osmo's Journal
Starting to get a feel for finding my way around now. Also have become more powerful due to slaying the undead and any bandits foolish enough to attack me. Got jumped by some kind of teleporting baby spider to the north of the city... thing just appeared behind me and attacked. Killed it good but i find it odd such creatures roam so close to the city. The guards of these lands are pathetically incompetant when it comes to providing security for the countryside. The most feared mercenary group in all of faerune and they cant even deal with weak undead and even weaker bandits. My respect for the flaming fist grows less each passing day. Incompetent, worthless fools!

Re: Osmo's Journal
Have grown even stronger now and have moved on to more challenging foes... kobolds. The ruin just to the south of the city is infested with them and is in need of a good old fashioned purge. They are not too dangerous though they are fiendishly good at preparing ambushes and managed to get me a few times through such tactics. One would think mere kobolds would not have much in the way of treasure but these seem to have all kinds of stuff in their lair. Im told there are even stronger creatures in the tunnels under the kobold lair but also that it is very dangerous compared to them. I will have to check this out once i am stronger...

Re: Osmo's Journal
Finnally checked out the tunnels and they were right... much more dangerous. I was with several others and we still had a difficult time clearing the path. Lots of bladelings down there and we actually found a dragon at the far end though it was still but a wyrmling and was not to difficult to take down. Thing had a sizable treasure horde which we looted... made off with several thousand coins in total. Alltogether it was a most profitable excursion.

Moved on to nasty little creatures called Gibberlings. Ugly, smelly, cannibalistic, and oh so very stupid. They did have good treasure though suprisingly...

Re: Osmo's Journal
Now killing lizard men for sport. These are much tougher then any of the foes i faced before. Their shamans know powerful magic, their warriors are good at ambush, and their chieftans greataxe's can cleave you in half with but a single swing. The presence of hostile nymphs and plant creatures makes the area even more dangerous and the pixies are just a massive pain in the ass. But such is the price for obtaining power...

Re: Osmo's Journal
Interesting things are happening it seems and not all of them good. While out with a few allies and a powerful wizardess we were approuched and threatened by a woman who turned out to be a drow assassin. She made many threats and for a while it looked like she would attack but in the end she withdrew and we were able to continue on our way. I for one do not take threats idly and she could use some punishment for her brazen antagonism. I will deal with her in time heheheh.

Re: Osmo's Journal
Well the drow has been quite busy it seems tormenting the elves and trying to capture slaves while visiting the surface. While returning to the city with some allies we noticed something odd at one of the nature shrines along the road. The shrine had been desecrated and a badly tortured and near death man was tied to the statue with barbed wire both around and in his flesh. A message making dire threat against the elves was litteraly carved into his chest. We healed him and brought him back to the city and he eventually made a full recovery. I have still not forgotten the threats she made against me and now it seems she is becoming too great a threat... i shall hire assassins to eliminate her tommarow.

Well my plan to hire assassins did not work out as i had intended. Not only did she mannage to kill the assassin but she was able to link them to me and came calling last night. She was origionally going to make an example of the elf i was with but when he managed to escape she decided that i would serve in his place. She did make one mistake though... she let me live. That is going to come back to haunt her mark my words.

Re: Osmo's Journal
The drow has continued desecrating shrines and stringing people up with barbed wire and many are starting to grow worried about her seemingly bold wanderings and torment of the surface. Several powerful adventurers fought her and they all ended up dead or nearly so. She has even been defeating whole parties of adventurers so great is her power. She also seems to have taken an interest in me... she is constantly appearing and making threats against me in person making clear what will happen to me if i get in her way again. Gods i would love to slay her on the spot but i fear she is too strong for anyone to best alone. No... to defeat her more subtle methods are needed, brute force will not work but pherhaps guile will.

Re: Osmo's Journal
A plan is forming now in my mind. If she cannot be defeated singly or in groups then maybe she can be defeated if the entire sword coast rises up against her. Of course as hated as she has become now to get the entire coast after her would require far greater hatred for her then she has now. While people are worried about her she is not considered the main threat nor even a major one except to the elves. My plan will change all that in the most insidious way.
It is fiendishly simple really... Commit all kinds of crimes and threaten to commit all kinds of atrocities and then pin them on her. In time the hatred and fear of her will grow so massive that even the entire army of Baldurs Gate will march against her. It will also make it very difficult for her to travel the surface or accomplish her mission. Yes she will soon find it almost impossible to go anywhere up here and with so many people convinced she commited the crimes i will frame her for that it will only be a matter of time before she is dead.
I have already enacted the plan today... while no one was looking i desecrated the temple of Helm in the city and have been spreading word that it was her doing and that she plans to move on the other churches. Already the followers of several faiths are so angered by my lies that they have already begun to spread the word for me. All i need do now is play upon people's fear and then simply fan the flames of hatred against her into an inferno. I think my next lie will be about her going after the orphanage... that should get quite the reaction from the goody goodies heheheh.

Re: Osmo's Journal
In addition to the lie about her going after the children in the orphanage for slaves and sacrifices i have now begun spreading word that she is linked with the undead armies in the north as well. A personal assassin for Magmire sent to disrupt the land before the undead armies move south. That should get the common folks and the goody goodies off their asses quite well i think.

Re: Osmo's Journal
She has struck again... there was a huge battle near beregost and from what i am told it was a slaugther. She and several of her friends ambushed a large group of adventurers along the road and nearly killed all of them before being forced to retreat. They did manage to capture one of her slaves though. A pity the paladins holding him wont use torture to make him wag his tongue.

Re: Osmo's Journal
Drow has been absent now for several days... drew too much attention i suspect though she will definately return i am sure. Most talk now is about this magmire and her undead army. It seems she is trying to obtain some kind of artifact... a staff of dreadful and disgusting powers linked with disease and decay. This Blightstaff is supposedly hidden in the illifarn ruins near the goblins but none have found it yet though one of my allies plans to obtain it before she does. What to do with it after we find it is another question...

Re: Osmo's Journal
Have begun hunting orcs, gnolls, and xvarts. My power continues to grow exponentially and i was even able to defeat some stupid woman who was causing problems along the road though one of my allies demanded i spare her life. As a personal favor i did this but i also warned her that the woman would eventually return for revenge and that we should have slain her. The goody goodies are so naive these days... a weakness they will learn to avoid assuming they survive.
