New player saying hello!
Hey everyone. I recently came back to the game as well as RP. I've been over sea's on what I think was too long of a break from either. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you in game!

Not much to ask except for maybe where RP'ers hide? I've been wandering around for a day or three and haven't found more then one person who had to leave after ten minutes.

Depends on the time you play I guess. Server seems most active GMT 1900-0200 (thus spanning Euro & East Coast US time zones). At other times you might need to wander around a bit, or if it doesn't bother your conscience use the Kemo Scry to see where folks your level are, and go there

Tsidkenu is right. But sometimes you can be a little unfortunate in finding RP anyway, talking of those times people are in some event or something is happening elsewhere. As a new player, it can be even more difficult as you do not have a network of people you know yet... RPing while grinding is a bit of a hit & miss but there are gems to be found there too.
In Baldur's Gate, keep an eye out on the Elfsong Patio. Generally, when people sit there they are looking for RP. There is a campsite near the spawning point in BG where people sometimes gather. There is also the Friendly Arm Inn where all sorts of crazy happen
You need to be... lvl 6 or so? To directly spawn there but you can easily ask someone for an escort. (I always advice people to approach shiny knights, cause they can not refuse
).
If some guilds out there might suit your character, it might be a good idea to pursue those just to get "in" some social circles.
Lastly... when you do meet people RPing and want to RP as well, do not just stand around quietly and wait to be noticed. Emote watching or listening if your character is not the talkative type. Do not hesitate to approach though, as that is the best way. Good ways to get included is asking some questions - where is a good inn? I would like to find a temple of my god, where would it be? (Applies to anyone, just not holy folks), Ask something related to an ongoing conversation. Are people talking about undead? Excellent, express horror or another emotion.
The last bit may not apply to you Rynar but I frequently see people just standing about quietly.

You would be correct there. Im a talkative sort IC. As well as OOC as you can probably tell. The problem with me so far is literally not being able to find anyone. It seems like ive been getting on at the wrong times.

You might want to give your character's name, There are lots of good people around most of the time. I'm sure one of them would go out of there way to come RP with you.

Welcome back.
I found I have bad luck getting in on decent times ( or at all these days it seems).
Plus the established RP groups can be intimidating to jump into.... but do it anyways

Great to have you here man. The Friendly arm inn is often the best place to look, either just outside to front, or at the camp fire near by. Also I found the camp fire just outside Baldur's Gate is good.
I look forward to meeting you in game. If you ever have any questions send me a PM I love to help. Log on is Keldri.

FAI seems to be The hotspot of the server. Sometimes it is empty but usually there are 10 or more people there at least some of the time, and at least maybe 5 at most times. Camp fires are good places to look as well. The tavern in BG city also has people around maybe 40-50% of the time.
