Question about magic gears recharge

I know magic wand may be destoried after some recharge, does something like magic staff or rod the same?

If they have charges, yes I think so. Eg. the Ring of Nine Lives can be recharged, and each time adds a break chance. Fortunately, if the item breaks on recharge you do not get charged the money for it!
