Background: Jon was born in Waterdeep in 1326 DR. His father is a successful merchant and his mother a priestess of Siamorphe. When he was growing up his father often dragged him along on trips to cities along the coast. He had seen Luskan, Neverwinter, Waterdeep, Baldur's Gate, Athkatla, and even Calimport by the time he was ten.

At age 16 Jon had inadvertently met his destiny while exploring Waterdeep on one of these outings. He had weaved his way through the city into one of the many back allies that line the port. Lying in wait there were a pair of thugs. They held him at knifepoint and he felt his knees buckle the same way they had when he had first climbed the midmast as a child. It was at that moment a light flashed brighter than any he had ever seen. The light caused his once blue eyes to fade in color and the thugs cowered in awestruck surprise. Before them stood a Paladin of Lathander. Jon had seen the light and for the rest of his days it would stay with him.

Jon's parent were disappointed in his decision to forgo the merchant life and Siamorphe. This lead him to strike out on his own. During these years he sought out various shrines to the morninglord to pay homage to. On these journeys he had heard of the plight of Baldur's Gate and made for the city to join the defense.

Goals: Convert as many as he can to the Lathanderite faith.
