Anyone know of or played the Exile/Avernum series?

Exile and its remakes Avernum and Avernum 2.0 along with its sequels are one of the first rpg 's i played and while relatively primitive compared to today's games remains a very fun and well made adventure saga with huge sandbox worlds to explore and hundreds of quests one can attempt at any time or lv. I rp my main character on bg as being from that setting though so far that part of his backstory is not yet known. If you have not tried these you definitely should. Anyone here played them by chance?

I have the whole series on my desktop pc, but have not played them in forever, you can get the series on gog dirt cheap and is a fun play even now if you're on a limited budget. Combat is turn based and it's similar to the late 80's /early 90's RPG's.

Overall fun little games and relatively long story line.

He is redoing them again with even better graphics now... so far 1 and 2 have been remade and he will be working on 3 and hopefuly the one where you get to make your own games. I cant wait for remake of Avernum 3... was the largest and most epic one and the one i first played. I built a character on BG based on the Anama though i have yet to reveal that.
