Hello all,

Just started up NWN2 again, and came across this server. From what I've seen so far it's absolutely amazing and one can tell a lot of hard work has gone into making it. :)

I just hit level 5, and mostly been hanging around the area of Baldurs Gate and venturing into caves and the sewers. I just had a question of whether there is a town or a place where most people "hang out" in taverns or some such? I've seen a few people in Baldurs Gate, but I also know there should be a lot more people around when looking at the amount of people logging in.

Any tips on where to go to to interact with others? I was thinking maybe there was a famous tavern where people go to to kick back and relax?

Many thanks and hope to see you in game!

Hello and welcome! I'm also a new player, I've been playing for about three weeks and having a great time. :)

The common 'central' area is Friendly Arms Inn, which is south of Baldur's Gate. The road to it passes through a bandit/bear infested area, but they aren't that high level and as long as you run you can probably get through them just fine.

The other thing you should consider doing is looking at the various groups and guilds that exist and trying to get in touch with them. Getting 'in' with an established group of characters helps a lot with getting integrated into the server. I'd recommend the Order of Lions at Pathfinders Hall in Baldur's Gate (East Gate area) as one option; they are an organization based around helping new adventurers. There's also Phoenix Company and Ebon Blade, which are adventurer and mercenary options respectively. They are good fits for many different character types.

Hello and welcome!

People usually gather at the Elfsong patio (the area with seating in Eastern District) but it can be a hit/miss depending on several things. I have never really been able to park my character there however without someone joining her.

In Baldur's Gate, the Temple of Ilmater also sees some activity. Basically all the characters with PTSD seek help from the clergy who acts as therapists.

Feel free to drop by the Order of Lions. We have not got everything organized properly yet but we can certainly IC give you any info your character may need.

The FAI (Friendly Arm Inn) pretty much always has some people.

Candlekeep usually has people there nowadays so if your character is a bookworm or likes reading, it is recommend.

If your character is of evil disposition, especially openly so, it may be a bit difficult to approach certain groups.

If you are looking for a specific guild/group, it would help to know what your character idea is. You can try to ask around IG but if you have trouble getting in touch with people, feel free to write here or PM and I can recommend a few groups.
