Jack Merlin - FAI - Epic Warhammer

Unread post by Caelin »

Jack Merlin stands up on a low stool and his voice carries through the courtyard at the FAI.

"Ladies and gents, come one and all!
You've seen my good wares and been to my stall.
But today is a break, we depart from the norm,
A fine warhammer, guaranteed to perform.

Now I've traveled far, seen much in my time.
Been into thick jungles and down into mines.
Met folks of colors, sizes and shapes,
And never been one to judge them for mistakes.

I've counted all friends regardless of race,
Elves and Dwarves, a Half-Orc named Nace
So believe when I say this hammer of mine
Was found in a cavern, not by my design

I've nothing against the folks of small size
A word to the contrary must be all lies
But without further wait, allow me to usher
The warhammer I found that is named the Hincrusher
".

Hincrusher

Jack smiles and gestures to the Warhammer. "100 bags is a fair opening price I believe," he says.

A spectacularly ugly dwarven lady sporting a duergarish mohawk arrives just in time to hear the end of Jack's song. Nodding almost rhythmically to its last verse, she chuckles hoarsely before blurting out a response with little regard to tune or anything else the discerning ear might require:

Grendula like the sound o' crush,
Grendula like the sound o' smash,
For thingies that turn skulls to mush
Big, little, no care, she pay cash!

Smoothening a low forehead that was obviously labouring under the mental strain of her performance, Grendula pulls out and holds forward a bag of coin containing the 100k mentioned by Jack Merlin. Pleased with herself, she looks around and burps under her breath.

A halfling in an outdoorsy attire watches this trade with great interest. Noting who is bidding and who will get it in the end.

"... - it's better to look at the sky than live there. Such an empty place; so vague. Just a country where the thunder goes and things disappear."

Jack nods to the Dwarven lady and smiles. "The hammer is yours, fair lady!"
