Get rid of em! With the idea in mind to award the same amount of XP in some other OOC means each week. Or just bump XP gains on Monsters! The quests are horridly wonky and not even remotely IC for many, many bad guys.

Abolish the quests, add up the total available quest xp per week and divide it by 7, then by three. And up the RP xp limit by that number.

Edit: Honestly, just because I don't like the quests doesn't mean that there aren't people that do like them. I level just fine, and faster than many, with a combination of RP, small grinding sessions, and loot runs. One of the biggest tips you can get for leveling is this: put one point in open lock. Just one will get you a lot of the server's chests, and you get xp for unlocking them. It isn't a lot, but over the life of a character it adds up. And remember to unlock them when you are out of combat so you can "take 20".

Back on topic, I don't really care whether the quests stay or go, I almost never do them anyway.

Need the option to keep the quests but limit them to once per character. No not once a week but once ever. I guess you could raise the cap on RP xp a little to compensate. Say from 1200 or whatever to 2000. Just getting rid of the quests seems wasteful as people made them for us and I have enjoyed occasionally RPing them although apparently I am a minority in that.

Yeah, I'm with Lock on this one (bit of a change of heart). I have been just straight ignoring the quests for almost my entire time on the server, and only recently started, occasionally, doing one or two of them when I am bored and only if they are fast. If you don't like 'em, don't do 'em. It hasn't really negatively affected me in any way.

The bulk majority of the quests are not LOW LEVEL though......In fact over 50% of them are 10+ so it is and always will be a leveling mechanic for higher levels. I am all for keeping them if they are condensed and take less time though. 2-4 hours is not a good thing to ask someone to devote time to a game. Most people want to interact rather than mechanically stomp around to get their levels.

The real point being people are obviously asking for some type of change and it seems that there are too many who are dismissive of that idea and that in and of itself is no bueno either! Just saying you don't like so don't do em is a dismissive thing and it totally invalidates what that person is saying and comes off as quite rude. I should know! I am one of the rudest here and need to learn these very lessons myself sometimes!!!

The fixation with levelling on BGTSCC is quite interesting. I'd urge people to think about why it is such a big issue here.
