warsling sniper

Has anyone ideas how to make a decent build with that class ?

Does manyshot work with a sling?

Manyshot works with every ranged weapon. But it won't work with Ricochet Shot; that ability pops up on a separate GUI which you have to click (just like with the OOBI Ranged Precision)

Here's one created by the man himself. I played it up to level 15 a year or so ago, in anticipation of warsling sniper. Probably the easiest PC I have had to level.

to lv15 - So you have no idea if that new class is useful/fun to play at all :shock:

Oh, thought you were asking for a decent build lol Playability of the PRC, I don't have any experience obviously, but looking around the forums, little tidbits here and there, QC and devs make some interesting comments that lead me to think it'll be pretty decent. And very cool. Halflings make the fun :)

Warsling sniper looks ok, the posted build has a low low AB for a manyshot build, so it might work if you make heavy use of ricochet shot instead.

What do the 6 levels of warsling sniper PRC really add to a build ?

I mean what a slinger really needs is a damage increase. [sling 1d4]
And as slings use STR for damage - the class does not help at all with that.

Something like a 5% chance of an eye hit (blind effect) would be cool.

And sure any hipsing/sneaking range build works.

I think Fighter12/Warsling Sniper6/Elemental Archer4/Assassin8 looks to have promise...

Will definitely have enough AB to Manyshot.

Was curious about this build as this class split is exactly what I was wondering would make a halfling slinger viable. Anyone have thoughts?

It has way to low STR for my liking.

In the above build we have (assuming a epic sling of ammuntion+4):
d4+4eb+2elemental+6(feats)+1STR= 17 base damage per pebble.

And then we have the crappy range of a sling.


The only way to get decent damage is by abusing the manyshot-deathattack bug. :hand:
(@Devs: Any way to fix that bug?)

Could Go R16/A8/WSS6. Use Improved Rapid shot and ricochet with 12d6 sneak/death attack dice. BAB is only 24, but out of HiPS should still be ok, Manyshot likely won't hit all that often though (so at least your not using the Death Attack bug?)

Agreed, although you forgot to add the benefit of an item/spell. Should pump up Str a bit and use the Sling 2H.

BTW without the death attack bug you can kiss goodbye to Ranged Assassins, because PTWF will always be better. That's the trouble with all these fixes - sometimes the cure is worse than the disease.

After some time percolating, 11 rogue, 9 assassin, 4 fighter, 6 warsling seems like best bet.

Can still get upper 40s AB on the build so to-hit will be fine.

Do not dump strength!

I hear you. I was assuming under the new Assassin though. Total is 12d6 SA damage.
