Gazardiel Talasid

Unread post by Thorsson »

Gond looked upon Baldur's Gate and his heart was warmed by the rise in power of the crafters and smiths of that fair city. But as he looked he was noticed that despite this and his imposing Temple, the Hall of Wonders, the faith of his worshippers was not as strong as it might have been.

So he watched, and as he observed he noticed that his followers were plagued by troubles on every side: Drow from the underdark, viscious Orcs who dared even walk the streets in plain daylight, Assassins, Rogues and all manner of tricksters and evil sorcerors.

Gond thought on this and decided his followers needed a Champion, who would relieve them of these trials and tribulations. Now he had one follower who was strong, of great faith and had a particular hatred of evil. Gond looked on him with great Favor, and had given him gifts beyond the ken of normal men.

That night Gond came to Gazardiel Talasid in a dream and told him he must make the long trek to Baldur's Gate in the far West and bring succor to the followers of Gond.

And thus Gazardiel Talasid arrived at Baldur's Gate in the year of 1379 and started to carry out his Lord's work.
Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about it
