CD-Key Error - READ THIS FIRST!

If you are experiencing log-in errors due to missing or wrong CD-Key issues, then send a PM to the Head DM group.

Be sure to include the Log-in Account Name you are using within the NWN2 game.

Helpful hint:

To manually check your CD-Key, go to where your copy of Neverwinter Nights 2 was installed and open "nwncdkey.ini." It will look like a txt file, and inside out should just have three lines of numbers, like this:

[CDKEY]
Key1=00000-00000-00000-00000-00000-00000-00000 //This is your base Neverwinter Nights 2 cd-key
Key2=00000-00000-00000-00000-00000-00000-00000 //Mask of the Betrayer key
Key3=00000-00000-00000-00000-00000-00000-00000 //Storm of Zehir key

Don't post your keys here, as they should always be kept private (you can't log on if someone with your keys is also logged on); but check to make sure you have all three in that file, and they're all correct?

You may be able to check what the keys are supposed to be through Steam. I'm not sure, as I don't have a Steam copy of the game. Can someone who does confirm?

Let me know once you're able to check these things. If you're still having multiplayer login problems, or need next steps, I will try to help you here.

Reminder to all, though, you cannot use a "." symbol in your in-game username. The game will boot you if it sees one -- it just hates to see good grammar!

HI, I used to play on this server awhile back, and I had to buy a new copy of the game, I inserted my new cd keys and can get to my character screen but cannot log in. I have a friend on the server who said they had the same problem and to let a DM know about the issue and they would be able to fix it. My account name is malafala. To expand on the keys, you can determine your actual public cd key that is generated from your existing key. Read more.

Hi I recently bought NWN 2 from GOG and I tried to join your server, and it told me an account was already registered with that CD key and booted me.

I can prove I'm the owner of the keys with a screenshot of my GOG account btw

I also have this problem from A GOG version of the game. if anything i have a cd copy laying around somewhere with a different key but i also can screenshot the gog account
