Double Kama Monk
Hello everyone,
first of all i'm totally new to this erver, but i have been playing NWN2 for many years long time ago, but the server where i was usual to play has closed and that was tottaly different from this one( we had also lvl 30-40), and i dont rember everything.
I remember that i had lot of fun playing a that kind of monk with double kama, but since i dont know nothing abou tthis server( magic itam, mobs and all other stuff), i would like ot know if that build could work here.
Also i would like to know what kind of item we can get here, abilities bonus on item and all other enchantment. And how the crafting system work, if i can craft my own equip etc.
Here you can see the build i have working on, any advice you can give me is welcome.

Hi and welcome! 
There are a few things regarding your build that are "fine" but may give you some struggles.
First, dual wield without SA is going to struggle for damage. It is recommended to mix in rogue/assassin levels to mitigate this. For instance M11/R10/A9 gets Epic Precision and 10d6 SA dice.
Next, you take 5 levels of SD, but don't take Epic Dodge? Not sure the purpose as M11 gets you Greater Flurry (1 extra attack and no more penalties for flurry). Duelist doesn't help much as INT is only +1. You could get rid of SD and Duelist in favor of Assassin 9, keep HiPS and gain 5d6 death attack.
Items: Max EB is +4. +3 stat items are relatively easy to get, as are +3 AC items. +3 w/ other bonuses are far more difficult. +4 AC armors and +4 EB weapons can be obtained as well, but again, additional bonuses are rare and difficult to obtain. Due to this Casters are far more powerful than melee, but melee can still do fine in most area's and grouping up is a good idea anyway (and more fun!) +4 nat/defl/dodge AC items will be difficult to obtain, probably taking around a year to get one or two of them, maybe more. +4 stat bonus items are possibly the most rare of items on the server, very few out there, bad idea to plan on having such an item.

I see, i was usual play this kind of pg cause i had the possibilty to have bonus abilities +10 on my equip, that why i put in this build Duelist level.
Just one thing, why item with +4 bonus are that rare? i mean for a level 30 character that bonus is very low in D&D. (i'm just courius)
Now that i know about the item i think this pg wont work well here, so i might try the rouge way, but i hope undead are not that much around the server

Rogue is great for rp. So many options, but stealth builds do struggle a bit in regards to power. While undead and other crit immune enemies are on the server they can certainly be avoided. Recently a dispel fix went in which makes umd somewhat less useful in areas where dispels can be cast by mobs.
I recommend searching the rules, dm ruling etc her on the forums but essentially here are a few points:
- even though mechanically you can reach 30, you should consider yourself half level for rp purposes. So at max character level you are considered 15.
- It's a matter of whether you want casters to be more powerful or melee. The higher the magic available the less powerful spell enhancements are.
- it is also more difficult for DMs (I imagine) to create challenging encounters as more powerful items become available.
- you're concept can still work, but consider the advice I provided. M11/R10/A9 is a really nice build idea and I'm fairly certain their is a decent amount if monk rp available. However, if you're looking for a mechanically self sufficient melee character favored soul, bard or gish is your best bet. Just try to think of rp first and the mechanical stuff as a means to support that rp. If you group up your build not being perfect won't matter much.

Thanks for your advice, i have been playing a bard for a very long time, but what give me more fun is a stealt character, which make Monk and Rouge my first pick, Also i'm already playing a lvl 10 gestalt character ( mage archivist) with my real life friends so i wanted to play a melee in here.
at this poiont i will restart my pg with rouge and assasin, sicne my character still lvl 2 so dont take mu time to redo it

That thing aside, your build will do just fine. It will kill faster than the rogue/assassin because of the many attacks. If i can suggest something, is taking SB5 instead of Duelist. Max INT as far as you can and get double the damage from INT with Combat Insight. Unless some epic shops are implemented, see you in a year.

Thanks, now i'm working on the rouge assain build to see better the differences between them, but my double kama build is based a lot on the equipment, need at least +4 dex +4 win and +4 int, so as you all have said, it will need quiet a while to get all of them.Uranus wrote:Thats a good build. what do you meant with SB5 ?

what do you meant with SB5 ?
The items you mentioned are very very very very very rare to find. It is better not to build with those items in mind and just rcr when you do find them. Yes, they are that rare.
SB5 is swashbucler 5. Why 5? Because Insight strike was moved to level5 on BG

Thanks to both of you i think i have found the right way for my build
It has same BAB then my previus build but one less point to the attack bonus and more dmg
cause of the assasin, the SB and the Combat Inight, also it has Expose Weakness wich will be helpfull for the party members.
Edit: does the death attack work without sneak attack?

Assassin is for HiPS. Take it to 8 or not at all... If you want the combat insight route I agree with Uranus (hrrm...) that Fighter to 12 or 14 is better as it gains you weapon mastery for more AB and damage. Gaining a few death attack dice without HiPS really isn't that helpful.
I would also caution against any XP penalty, especially on your first PC.
Making a Human F12/M11/SB5 with clever levelling will help reduce the XP penalty until late in the build when you go F13 and 14.

Yes indeed i changed to Air geneis ( but probably human still better ), and i will go for monk 11 fighter 14 and SB5 in this way i will also get one more attack with each hands
