Curious if anyone has plans to make this Creature targeting for study purposes?
I'm thinking have a fail out for if the creature is hostile or not a PC.
Set an int counter to the person studying that is either server (lost each reset) or character held. And only 1 spell can be studied at a time.
Set requirements for learning to be count = spell level
This means that a person would have to see a 9th level spell 9 times to be able to learn it.
My thoughts is this allows for further RP between student and teacher. If desired I could look into actually writing this script addition, just haven't opened the toolset in over 6 years.

Re: Study Spell Script
This is not how spells are learnt in the D&D Forgotten Realms setting, and hence NWN2 BGTSCC server which is born from it (howsoever distanced it may be due to engine limitations etc!).
Spells must be learnt from one of:
Spell research and development is something that a occupies a wizard as they grow in experience. Hence at every level up, a wizard may choose two new spells to simulate the research they have been doing in their free time.
So if anything, your suggestion may plug into option no. 4 above, and simulated IG by the student utilising their level up spell choices to take on the new spell, or alternatively the student gains access to the spell after a period of observation and the master letting student examine their own spell book (or gifting a spell scroll).
I can't see a need for a script like this when we already have two of the four spell-learning mechanisms in game.
Spells must be learnt from one of:
- 1. Arcane Spell Scrolls
2. Arcane Spell Books/Grimoires
3. Selu'Kiira (Elven Lore Stones)
4. Private Research and Development

In the case of an infernal/celestial being teaching arcane magic to a practitioner, the spell should still be learnt in one of these ways (most commonly nos. 1, 2 or 4)

2. Arcane Spell Books/Grimoires
3. Selu'Kiira (Elven Lore Stones)
