Help with build - Thayan Knight

Hey.

So here's the thing. I've been looking over some thayan knight builds and honestly, I'm bad with melee builds so I was hoping someone here might help.

There's the thing with thayan knights needing to use a longsword and a shield.
also the magical gear, of which I don't have plenty.

So I'd need a build thats thayan knight but is able to solo level efficiently, especially in the epics with the snakes...

Are there any new feats I should be aware of with the latest patch? Skills?

How about F12/TK5/WoD10/BG3

Then you can have your bonus 1-4 darkling weapon, spellcraft as a class skill and build toward EDM. This means you aren't necessarily required to find an uber longsword... Sometimes someone will sell a +4 Longsword for 10K and in your hands that +4 sword is just as good as the epic version since you can add 1-4 damage to it. Add in some UMD for getting benefits from Wands when needed for leveling and otherwise I'd assume your Red Wizard would buff you up so you can better protect their scrawny arse!

Fighter12/Rogue3/TK5/WoD10 with strength focus is an alternative. Can also be done with 21 constitution to get 12/- DR, which is quite good for defensive stuff.

Fighter12/MaA13/TK5 perhaps. More shield oriented.

WoD DR does not stack with Epic DR. Still it is a nice build

I had a random wild idea here... Could I somehow toss in 3warlock/10dragonslayer for a noxious blast and then blackguard along with divine might? If I can get EDM, and then saves from BG and saves from warlock...

Not sure if I'm giving too much up for it though?

Any ideas on that one? Also ty for the ideas so far. I'm looking into them.

Make a dwarf thayan knight with dwarven defender Warlock and Blackguard have some pretty OK synergy. It's a bit of a wonky build, but it would be interesting against anything that doesn't have SR. Your saves would certainly be high though with the Luck spell, though you cant cast in anything above med, and thats with the armoured casting feat. So you would suffer for it if you tried to make use of blast shapes or flee the scene. Unlless you have some wicked mythril laying around.

Good thing we are in 2 ed lore....

Even though I like 5th ed , the no restrictions and such is bullshit (I know this is 4th ed but still the mentality stayed).

Since the last update, AK DR stacks with Epc DR, This makes DGs build much more interesting.
