So I have been trying to wrap my head around behind the use of these abilities and I don't believe the strikes are working as intended or maybe I'm doing something wrong. I've posted pictures below of the disrupting strike:
So as you can see when you cast the strike it lasts one round. The description below says that you can cast the spell even during your opponents round but whenever I cast the strike I can never get it off in time. The cast time for the spell itself takes about a second but my character can do nothing else that round. Even when I give the order after my character has launched several attacks he stops attacking and waits, casts the spell the next round, and doesn't attack until the next round after that which based on the duration I suspect is not the way the spell is supposed to work. If he can't do anything else after casting it, thats literally like 5 out of 6 seconds wasted to get the strike off. And on the last second, 99% of the time my character will waste time dodging the next melee blow his opponent throws at him due to his low initiative and thus I wasted one whole round for that one spell.
How does one use these abilities exactly?
