RWoT build advice-
So I will probably have to RcR my RW again becuse of bugs and such. So, I thought I should ask for some build advice here, becuse I'm sure someone could come up with the a better build then mine.
It is Wiz 10 ArchM 10 RWoT 10
I realized that I should delay the RWoT levels as much as possible as the level 5 and 10 bonus feats do give you epic feats if you are high level enough. But I probably overlooked several things.
It is a DC Necro. Any build advice, would be appreciated.

Re: RWoT build advice-
The split is fine. Here's what I would do:
http://nwn2db.com/build/?241089
DCs in necromancy:
10 + 13 (buffed int) + 1 (prodigy) + 1 (enhanced spec) + 3 (epic focus) + 6 (38 CL in necromancy)
= 34 + spell level
43 DC Wail of the Banshee
41 DC Finger of Death
EDIT: Obviously, I'm picking Red Wizard as early as possible here, because I think that is a requirement? (Not really any point in additional prohibited schools if you're going to be able to circumvent them...)

Re: RWoT build advice-
Well I do not have special backstory but in theory it is possible.
Thanks. I will prob use it with a few changes.
(For example I use enchantment as prohbited school, as they are choosable)
EDIT: Is Vamp feast worth losing 1 Dc all around? I will probs take in anyways, coz it fits the build very well. But in that case I will have one "open" epic feat.
Suggestions?

Vamp feast worths it, definetely. It is a must have, uninteraptable spell that can be used in emergencies ( when many mobs are on you ) and not only kill them but heal you as well.TheLier wrote:EDIT: Is Vamp feast worth losing 1 Dc all around? It also looks to me that you are focusing too much on DCs ( however having high DCs helps a lot with low level spells such as wrack, undeath to death etc ).
What about Defense? Is your only defense going to be using spells?
What about HP, AC, saves?
For example, 5 levels of palemaster would give you +4 AC, +4 on Fort saves and d6 hitpoints instead of d4.
4 levels of Bloodmage ( and 2less of archmage ) would save you a lvl9 spell ( no need for Spellpower III ), scars, High Fortitude saves and d6 hitpoints instead of d4.
In general, this build looks to me like a glasscannon. It feels that while you are more than covered regarding DCs, you are going to die when caught with your pants down, like when many mobs souround you, lag, mords etc.

This is a build for an already existing char so:mrm3ntalist wrote:Vamp feast worths it, definetely. - Blood Mage is not an option EDIT: you can't combine it with RW even though that makes no sense
- The char is not a palemaster, right now, I see no RP way to suddenly be one.

Saetra is, that's one potential RP avenue if you'd like to explore it. Considering their differences he may not want to inquire about it with her, but I'm just throwing it out there if it's something you may want to pursue!TheLier wrote:- The char is not a palemaster, right now, I see no RP way to suddenly be one.
In lieu of palemaster, I'd squeeze in Quicken Spell somewhere. It's a nice option for emergency situations.
You could also just go Frost Mage. It also provides AC bonuses like palemaster (just not as much). And ice magic tends to fit well with necromancers. Something like Wiz 5 RW10 AM10 FM5 (or FM4 and an extra Wiz level, doesn't really matter), which loses you a Wiz bonus feat but gains you +2 natural armor.

For a follower of Kossuth (more or less), and a necromancer who finds most undead dull, that would make a little sense.Rhifox wrote:Saetra is, that's one potential RP avenue if you'd like to explore it. EDIT: I guess this is what I get for not explaining the entire RP concept at first. A mistake on my part.

Oh right, he's a Kossuth follower. Yeah, I completely forgot about that when I wrote my post. You're right, FM wouldn't work for him.

Re: RWoT build advice-
Mind you can change around the stats on the build I made. You'd probably want to keep full int, but you can lower cha, wis and str if you want to get more dex or con.
And yes, vampiric feast is probably very worth it to drop that one point of DC. Your Wail of the Banshee will still have higher DC than your vampiric feast, though!

That is natural I guess, but I will have one open, bonus epic feat then, as there is not too sensible to end at an uneven number. I can buff my int to +4 afterall.Deathgrowl wrote:Mind you can change around the stats on the build I made. 31INT +3ITEM will get you a lvl9 spell slot you can use
30INT +4Foxs wont get you a lvl8 spell ( you will get it after rest so you cant memorise any spell
32INT +2(or3) item will get you a lvl spell slot
With AM Spellpower III ( -1 lvl9 spell ) and no premonition ( meaning you need to cast shades at lvl9) You will need that extra slot.
So either go for 32INT +2Item + Fox or 31+3Item

Re: RWoT build advice-
M3nt, why did you suggest not to take Spellpower III? RWoT is the only class it becomes a plausible investment because they can reach CL 38 in their specialised school for an extra DC point. Is that worth the spell slot losses for Archmage Spellpower I, II & III? That's the question. You either go for level 8 Archmage Spellpower III (CL 38) or nothing at all (CL 35).
Edit - I get it now. Bloodmage 4 lets you sub Spellpower III for Blood Magic spell CL +1!

You get the extra CL from Blood component to reach the magic number of 38 without spell power IIImrm3ntalist wrote:4 levels of Bloodmage ( and 2less of archmage ) would save you a lvl9 spell ( no need for Spellpower III ), scars, High Fortitude saves and d6 hitpoints instead of d4.
