A monk build

Unread post by Kinkurono »

Anyone has a good monk build ? not sure how to start it, just a plain monk 30 build or something
I made this http://nwn2db.com/build/?241483 but i think it's terrible...

Wisdom is bread and butter for intuitive monks. You want max start stat on that. It adds to your ac, too. no need pumping dex imo. dodge and spring attack seem weak to me. especially as an epic feat. fiery ki defense will be uneffective i guess. you don`t have a lot hp so getting hit often will get you killed. exchange it for blazing aura. toughness is derfinitely worth it. 30 hp are about +10% on this build. even better if you get it from an item ofc. i have been told imp critical is a waste as well. but can`t tell from experience.

It is poor. I'll post a comment there.

It's normally a waste because you can get it through items these days. But I don't think it works on fists.

Dodge is OK, it's Mobility that's the waste.

If you search nwn2db for builds try putting bgtscc into the search field and then setting minimum level to monk 30. This should bring up some builds that work on the server. Typically this is what I do and then I tweak the builds a bit to suit what I'm trying to do. It also helped me get a feel for what is neede on this server so I can try some builds of my own without them being ineffective.

I've updated the build http://nwn2db.com/build/?241483 using everything you guys said, should i drop the stats even further for wisdom 18 and reaching a total of 28 wisdom ? but i'd lose expose weakness, i think ?

1. Don't lose EW.

2. End on odd Wis, because you won't find anything better than a +3 Wis item.

I second that on EW. You want wis AS high AS possible. A human can get to 29 on level 30.
