Losing XP

I'm at level 7 now and everytime I've died recently I've lost all
My XP down to the beginning of level 7. When I die it says something like I've died 8 times killed by 8 players 0 npc.

Is this problem persistent or just with my character?

You lose 100xp per level if you raise yourself from the fugue, or to lowest xp for your level, whichever comes first.

This won't happen if a player raises you though.

This is intentional/by design.

Are you losing greater than 700xp per death?

Are you an ECL race?

If you lose more than 700xp at level 7, there may be an issue.

ECLs don't lose more on death, as far as I remember. (which is good, because they already have lower combat xp and need more xp per level).

So, hypothetically, if I were Level 8 I should lose 800xp and at @ Level 6 600xp?
