The Celestial animals I summon with Summon VI and five lvls of Thaumaturge don't seem to have the +4 STR and CON they should have. Judging by the character sheet, I can still buff them with Bull's and Bear's.

To my knowledge, the thaumaturgy bonus modifies their base stat, allowing you to stack a further +4/+4 with bulls and bears, intentionally. To make it actually worth it.
