After facing down orcs along the Chionthar, Nathan returned to Baldur's Gate for some much needed rest. As he approached the Wyrm's Crossing, he noticed a group near the new Phoenix Company Lodge. A white haired beauty invited him and the others to join her by a nearby fire where he she introduced herself as Carra. Others soon join them, some merely passing by on their journey or searching for companions. A man introduced himself as Mark, but the hesitation and tone of voice told Nathan the man may be lying. For whatever reason, Nathan did not know, nor did he care. Mark seemed like a good man from what Nathan could tell. He wielded magical powers that Nathan did not even try to understand. The three spoke at length about Mystra and Mark's abilities and various other topics.

They spoke through the night and continued well past dawn. Nathan enjoyed their company and enjoyed the break from the recent orc destruction he wrought. His body was in pain from the exertion, but his appetite was sated. A small alchemist dressed all in blue introduced herself as Maddy and Nathan quickly learned she was looking for an earth genasi named Ashan, then she peddled her wares. Nathan bought several potions from the lady, as did Carra. Once he finished browsing her wares, he realized his new friends had returned to whatever business they had. Bored and now alone, Nathan ventured into Baldur's Gate via the ferry to the Docks District. It was a long, relaxing trip. He considered booking passage on a ship to some random place for a long moment. The notion quickly passed as he stepped onto the docks and headed towards a book store he had heard so much about.
Along his way to the book store, Nathan passed a red skinned man. Aware of his blatant staring, he stopped to apologize. He offered his services as a bodyguard as well, and upon introductions, learned that Celine was near. Her close proximity struck something within Nathan. Was it something good? He was not sure, but it was something. He gave the tiefling the pair of boots he had worn when he fled his family's estate. He asked the man to pass them on to his sister and paid him with a beautiful garnet he had taken from a group of orcs that raided a trade caravan. He was sure it was all that was left of the caravan. Upset, he quickly fled back to the docks, the book store forgotten. After booking passage on the first ship to depart, he arrived far to the north. Roaringshore the place was called.
Nathan trudged along silently. He considered the revelation of Celine being so close. Hopefully it would not come to another duel. He marched tirelessly until he found himself in the High Moor. It was not long before goblins fell upon him. Something to take his frustrations out on.
